Ozz Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 What was the atmosphere like at the back of the DE? Good banter with the away fans? I'm sure it was good, but couldn't hear anything from the other end in the BBE because of the constant noise. Brilliant, all the way through the match. Didn't hear from the dingles other than when they scored to be honest. The best bit was after the final whistle, instead of walking down the nearest exit, everybody went to the left and walked down the side of the segregation netting to give them a load of jip-I walked slowly down with the 3-2 score indicted by my fingers. Then there was more baiting at the corner outside the ground between DE stand and Riverside as they were marched onto their coaches.

modes98 Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 your not telling me your heart did not miss a beat, and you thought i can't wait to but that on brfcs, the poor lad has family and friends What does it really matter who posted it? It is available in the press, not some hidden away dark secret. Maybe the guy who killed himself should have thought about his family and friends!
Backroom Tom Posted October 23, 2009 Backroom Posted October 23, 2009 It's a tragedy for the family involved who've needlessly lost a Son and Brother but thats all I feel comfortable saying right now as I didn't know the lad or surrounding circumstances. Either way it's such a waste of a life
Liam0001 Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 I frequent this board alot and rarely post but feel the need to. I knew Adam for over 20 years and know more than most about the circumstances surrounding his death. It is utterly sick and demented for some people to be posting certain comments on here as I can tell you that his death was not football related whatsoever. It is much more deep rooted and for people to make parallels with the Derby result and his death is as twisted as the news reporters who weaved the story. Some people should hang there head in shame as some people i.e. me and others are disgusted at what I would of thought decent Blackburn fans and people like myself saying such drivel. I posted something earlier about the pathetic comments on here but it got deleted. Didn't know the lad personally but a lot of my mates did and no-one has a bad word to say about him.
roversmum Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 There are always some idiots, Liam, sadly. God rest the soul of this poor lad, prayers for his family. RIP.
AndyNeil Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 a couple of people on here have REALLY let themselves down .... and I think they both know who they are, shame on them! a tragic waste of life, which doesn't warrant being commented on in such a negative way.
Billy Castell Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 That guy who hung himself must have had some real underlying problems to do this. I have sympathy for the family, regardless of them being dingles.
tashor Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 I wouldh've posted a typically tashorial acerbic post aimed at some rather rotten posters herabouts as I have often done in the past............. It is, after all, Friday - hence I am obviously ratted........... But as it would most certainly be deleted as per usually I cannot be arsed..........

I was quoted here and I don't quite know why, I wanted to make a point that it would be improper to comment on something we don't know the details of and it is a tragedy for the family. If my comment is seen as insensitive or in bad taste I'll request the mods delete it, I can assure you it wasn'y intended that way
CrazyIvan Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 This is a genuine tragedy for the fella who felt he had no option but to do this and for his family and friends. Any idiotic comments following this just show some peoples complete insensitivity and stupidity. A real shame. I hope those fans are embarrassed and ashamed.
Gav Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Typical of this site to these days to turn something that should be celebrated into something thats heading for shut down. This thread should be edited and pinned, some quality stuff on here especially the youtube stuff. Sunday was a GREAT day after the months of dingle bullsh*t that have flown down the M65, lets have something pinned for reference going forward. 3-2! I still can't stop smiling

CrazyIvan Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Right on the money Gav. Just wait 'til March though Seconded. I'm looking forward to March. I think we can go there and beat them on their own patch no matter how well they've been doing there. We'll see if they continue to win at home this season... I finally got to watch the highlights from the BBC last night. Savage wasn't commenting on the passion when he was talking about the size of the derby games. In terms of size, no it's not as big as Everton V Liverpool but passion wise it's streets ahead in my book. The Beeb highlights were very flattering to Burnley to be honest, especially second half. It was interesting to hear the commentator almost drowned out by the fans for the third Rovers goal. What was Chimbonda's celebration about? It made me laugh anyway...
Fife Rover Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 For once, you and I are in agreement. If you want to stand at least get a seat at the back. Nobody minds if you jump up when we look like scoring or when the play gets particularly exciting, but persistent standing is another matter. Some people can't stand throughout a match and have chosen their seats in the expectation that they will not have to. It's one of the main reasons I like my seat. Front row upper so nobody can stand in front of me. Exactly right Gumboots.....except for just one small niggle I have. That is that people next to me insist on leaning on the wooden rail in front of us, and this means that I can't see any of the action going on towards the Darwen End. So I have to do the same and then the one on my left and so on all the way down the line right to the last seat in the stand. I have already asked the chap not to do it and he has apologised and sat back in his seat, but 5 mins later he is doing it again. he is also about 7ft tall and wide with it so I don't feel like making my case any more forcefully. Anybody got any sensible suggestions?

Hasta Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 The Beast A liability I'm afraid. Just come out to try and intercept a through ball and his trotter has give way under the supreme strain of the weight it has to carry. Belly flopped on the floor in agony and the Wigan striker taps into an empty net. What a legend.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 He's off injured now. Good stuff. Come on Wigan!

Anybody got any sensible suggestions? Sorry Fife, but i have to admit I lean on the rail at the front too. My son's in the next seat though and occasionally forcefully reminds me that he can't see the corner by the JW stand when I do. I try to remember at least not to put my arms in the way and lean back when it's a corner.
Backroom DE. Posted October 24, 2009 Backroom Posted October 24, 2009 Dingles 3-1 down. I sense a mighty fall.
