That picture of Tom Finney behind a wall of water must be the best sporting photograph ever taken. Brilliant!

My Dad's got a signed copy of that in his study. It's his most treasured possession.

My favourite footy pic of all time wasn't in that thread as far as I can see

Used to have it as my desktop

The shot of the England fans under the scoreboard after the 5-1 was a classic. Used to have a credit card with that on, got ejected from several Berlin boozers when trying to pay with that - nobs.

I've just spent 20 mins looking through them. I don't suppose you could give me an idea where it is, please?

And just made it my own desktop. That is an EPIC picture. What footy is all about. Friendly rivalry.

I still think he'd already heard the whistle go for off-side so was playing up. Anyway 437 and 440 for anyone?

In picture 242 the year is 1953. Puskas leads out Hungary with goalkeeper Groksic (?spelling?) following.

Billy Wright leads England with Bill Eckersley behind him.

There's an earlier post of a photo of Wright and Puskas swapping pennants.

Hungary went on to trounce England 6-3. They were brilliant!
