bobsterbrfc Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 I heard from a 'source' he is actually a Dingle and it's an "in joke"...
Backroom Tom Posted November 4, 2009 Backroom Posted November 4, 2009 The actor who plays Roy is actually a big Leicster fan I believe
Nate Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 The actor who plays Roy is actually a big Leicster fan I believe That he is.
Exiled_Rover Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 So we get associated with the loser who's married to a bloke? Awesome.
Beta Ray Bill Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 What's the guy who works at the Post Office doing in Romania? Was it recommended by Sir Roger Moore?
Ste B Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 What's the guy who works at the Post Office doing in Romania? Was it recommended by Sir Roger Moore? He's probably finding something to do whilst he's off on strike
DanLad Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 At work so I've no time to check, but... ...did Savage ever play when we had the name and number in black?
brian_gallagher85 Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 No, plus it's not even next or near the proper lettering. I'm guessing he had to have a Savage shirt since he's a Leicester fan
mellison24 Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Why does that matter? My dad has Douglas on his shirt. DEFINATELY not the right era of letter and number style, seeing as names weren't around on shirts back then.
Ozz Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 What's the guy who works at the Post Office doing in Romania? Was it recommended by Sir Roger Moore? First The Grapes closes and he is redundant, then sacked by the Royal Mail...this man is unemployable!

DEFINATELY not the right era of letter and number style, seeing as names weren't around on shirts back then. It doesn't matter, really, it's only a crappy soap opera! I was just commenting at an apparent lack of continuity. It hadn't occurred to me that the costume people at Granada had include reference to Robbie as an homage to his time at Rovers. Thanks for correcting my lack of vision and kudos to Granada for going that one step above and beyond!
