alexanders Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Oh so quiet. Ryan Molloy (Celtic) says... Celtic to Sell McGeady to Birmingham for ¿10m with the money they will sign Morten Gamst Pedersen from Blackburn for ¿1m and sign Senderos on Loan from Arsenal with the prospect of a full contract in the summer. Emmet Mc glone (Celtic) says... morten gamst pedersen to sign for celtic in the summer on free transfer Roberts won't move Olympiakos have signed Datolo from Napoli on loan for the rest season. As he is a left winger that probably ends their interest in Gamst.

This would represent an absolute numpty managerial decision to carry Blackburn Rovers forward. In which I cant accept as it would be like smacking every decent Rovers supporter in the face.

For the same amount of cash - Roberts out, Beattie in - wouldnt be a bad move. He is better than Roberts, he will give more & he will score more. He also fits into the english quota thing and he is a local lad, so should try his best for us!

Gally wasnt good enough! Beattie isnt good enough! Or are we lowering the bar gearing it for the championship.
broadsword Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Beattie must be better than Roberts? Surely?
Kelbo Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Has the manager not said he is looking at younger players??
Hughesy Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Beattie must be better than Roberts? Surely? I think so - JAL obviously doesnt though Derbyshire & Gallagher were nowhere near as good as Beattie can be on his day! He was a key signing for Stoke last season!

He was a key signing for Stoke last season! Hows Beattie doing this season Hughesy. Key signing, your forgetting the first priority IS TO PROVIDE THE FORWARD WITH CHANCES. How many attempts on goal did Kalinic have on sunday, please ?

How many attempts on goal did Kalinic have on sunday, please ? Beattie would create more chances for himself from the hoof ball, way more than Kalinic, great for the last 20mins, he would be very similar to Roberts apart from he would care!

I think the name of this thread should be changed to 'Sam targets if he has any money'. Because unless he sells, it appears he will not be buying anybody.

If he really cared about the club - he would give up his gum chewing, which I am reliably informed costs the club 2 million a season.

chaddyrovers Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 just watching newcastle and west brom. a player who has impress me is Chris Brunt. Good left foot, good at free kicks and a good crosser of the ball.
Guest andrewpickup Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Some more names from the french league, give or take about this home grown carry on. Couple of midfielders at le mans. One they just got from zurich, almen abdi who had something like one goal in 3. Not till summer though. Darryl goulon who I know less about but is compared to linganzi and a striker, gerviniho at lille. Ivory coast striker who has 11 in 18 . He was at le mans too and thought he was set for bigger things
Gamst Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 just watching newcastle and west brom. a player who has impress me is Chris Brunt. Good left foot, good at free kicks and a good crosser of the ball. Whilst he is a classy player, I feel our squad is screaming out for pace and he is a little slow. A West Brom player that I do like though, is Graeme Dorrans. He is an energetic midfielder with a great engine and good vision and crossing. Probably would be costly though.
BPF Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 If he really cared about the club - he would give up his gum chewing, which I am reliably informed costs the club 2 million a season. Haha. Quote of the year thus far. Thank you
SYRovers Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amine_Linganzi He has signed?
Shabani Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 On 18th January 2010 Linganzi signed for The Rovers of Blackburn, for a fairly small transfer fee. It was widely reported the day he signed that Keef Andrews was not fit to tie his bootlaces..even before anyone had seen him play..Not even BFS himself. rofl

Sign Beattie and there is more evidence of a continuation of the garbage football we have to endure under this so called experts reign.
Steve Moss Posted January 19, 2010 Author Posted January 19, 2010 Bolton turn down Stuart Holden. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Bolton-say-no-to-Stuart-Holden-after-trial-and-USA-midfield-star-moves-to-Portugal-article292379.html
unluckymorton Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Sign Beattie and there is more evidence of a continuation of the garbage football we have to endure under this so called experts reign. So who should we sign? Shall we put a bid in for Wayne Rooney? Maybe Drogba? We will be scraping the barrel due to lack of funds, it's simple as that. However I do agree that Beattie is a 'similar' player to Roberts but in my opinion he will give us that little bit more.
S15 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 So who should we sign? Shall we put a bid in for Wayne Rooney? Maybe Drogba? Nail on head. Drogba I think, though Rooney would come with the 'sell on' factor.
Majiball Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Nail on head. Drogba I think, though Rooney would come with the 'sell on' factor. Drogba's not Home grown though, I think we should bid for Rooney instead.
koi Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Defo Rooney and I think a cheeky bid for Joe Cole now before we take him on a free in the summer. I also think Ashley Cole could do a job a LB for us and if Stevie G is fed up at Liverpool how about trying to sign him - though he might not be sure he can compete for a place with Andrews.
Bobby G Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 All too quiet on the Rovers front. Nicko can you tell us anything? I can not believe that the board is still assessing Sam's position, could they be?
