mellison24 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Fuc*kin hell Keef needs someone to help him point now? It may well be the case given his on-pitch co-ordination And I can't think of ANYTHING else that Rigters may do.

Rover9 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Anybody seen or heard anything about us being in for James Vaughan at Everton for 2-3m? Had a text earlier but cant seem to see if there has been any other mention. Wouldn't be a bad signing in my opinion!

About as much as you do for these boards I jest. I always wanted Rigters to be a success and feel a bit sorry for him, out of his depth through no fault of his own

Having said that, I don't recall him ever having had a run of games to prove himself. Ditto with van heerden, I'd like to have at least seen what he could do.
Backroom Tom Posted January 19, 2010 Backroom Posted January 19, 2010 Same for me with Van Heerden I liked what I saw in the confed cup but obviously his size was the issue. Sounds like he had a stomring debut for his new club as well

Majiball Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 "Latics chief Roberto Martinez is keen to land a proven Premier League goalscorer and could get Roberts for around £1.5million." He is though, he's scored at least 4 a season for us thats defo rpoven in my eyes as far asthis deal is concerned. I'm pretty sure the door will have no problem hitting that fat arse... He then turns to kick it in anger misses and slips on the floor. Beattie at £3Million, Pass. I'd rather take a punt a couple of kiddo's from eastern europe. Out of curiousity does anyone know If Jan Koller is still alive and kicking, now there's a Sam striker if ever there was one. I also wonder whether Roberts fee and wages could cover a loan for Sam's summer man Ruud. Now he could certainly help bring Kalinic on.
ffan Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Hull haven't got exclusive access to Mido. Fulham, Blackburn, Everton and Birmingham are all chasing strikers and his representatives will be in touch. Craigman Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Been in News Of The World for a couple of days - Rigters
Amo Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 19.06 Reports in Holland suggest Blackburn forward Maceo Rigters is a target for a Chinese club. The Dutchman has been a fringe player at Ewood Park since joining from NAC Breda in 2007. I've never wanted Sky Sports to be more right than right now! That's being generous, isn't it?
Steve Moss Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 We're allegedly looking at midfielder Sebastian Eguren on loan. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Transfer-news-Blackburn-target-loan-move-for-Uruguay-World-Cup-star-article293647.html In the meantime, the Holden to Braga suggestion is allegedly BS, as Braga have already maxed out its allowed rules. http://www.noshortcorners.com/2010/01/another-digging-day.html
Bobby G Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 No 11 o'clocker as such but obviously nicko was hinting towards the Eguren move. Im not sure what type of midfielder he is and havent seen him play so I cant comment. I wouldve thought we would be moving for people with a bit of funds after what was said last week. It would be interesting to see what was discussed at the board meeting scheduled for yesterday.
RevidgeBlue Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Galatasaray in for Benni........... The Mail really hate us don't they "offered escape from Blackburn Rovers" - they make it sound like Colditz! Shows how far Benni's stock has fallen if Clubs are put off by a 2.5m asking price - when a plodder like Beattie can allegedly command a fee of 3m.
Bobby G Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Beattie could fetch that cause he is English and you pay a premium. On the continent, clubs are smart, that's why we always pay less for their players than domestic ones. Plus they wont pay 3m Euros for someone who is 32 going on 33!
Hughesy Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 I just hope we dont sell Benni to fund a move for Beattie....hopefully he joins Wolves soon and puts that one to bed!

I don't think the fee is a measure of talent, rather a measure of how long is left on the contract. We will lose Benni for nothing in the summer. If he can put in a few more performances like Sunday I would be sorely tempted to offer him a new contract. A partnership with Kalinic and then Olsson and Hoilett on either wing would give Benni plenty of support and legs to make use of his creativity. Could really mature into a Sheringham kind of late bloomer in such a role. So so much talent there - such a waste sometimes. Issue is would he stay motivated once he had a contract in the bag? And realistically would he want to stay at Rovers?
Hughesy Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 And realistically would he want to stay at Rovers? Benni just wants 1st team football - thats all he is interested in....however if he doesnt get it, he sulks & loses motivation
Amo Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Benni just wants 1st team football - thats all he is interested in....however if he doesnt get it, he sulks & loses motivation ...but not weight.
budha Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 We will lose Benni for nothing in the summer. Why? He signed a contract until 2011 just before Hughes left?
The Rover of Finland Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 I am not against sellin Benni but Beattie wouldn´t make us any better. And we must pay more than Benni sale would bring money. Somehow I scare Samba will be a striker again this season.
RoyRover Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Benni can hardly complain at the moment about not getting first team football. His been a regular in the first team for the past few months. I was reading on the Daily Mirror's website a piece that Nicko has written linking us with a loan move for Villareal's Uruguayan hardman midfielder Sebastian Erugun. I've seen him play a few times and his a good player. He would certainly be a better option that Keith Andrews.
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 So Erugun is a combative defensive midfielder? Shouldn't we be looking for a creative or attacking minded one instead? With only one creative outlet (Dunny) we are far too easy to shutdown.
