otto man Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Player power rules: Benni wants to move and join West Ham, fails to turn up for training and is overweight, refusing to do extra sessions... that is Sam's fault? Hoillet comes from the second division in Germany having scored a mighty total of 6 goals and has not scored for Rovers despite good chances and wants to play striker.. he has no skill on the ball and cannot get past them with skill.. oh and has been offered a superb contract by Rovers... all of this is Sam's fault. Finally David Dunn- the man who is constantly injured... plays the best football in years under Sam is out of contract and I am sure Rovers will be offering him either a shorter deal/lower wages.. so he may be off... again Sam's fault. Sam is no angel but the above three players highlight player power and the fact that there is no loyalty in football. Each of the above may use Sam as an excuse but the reality is that money talks and Rovers as a club does not mean much to them if they choose to leave. Spot on imy!

Roberto Policano Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Zenit St Petersburg interest in Vince Grella.
hollowsr Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Zenit St Petersburg interest in Vince Grella. If we can get the 4m back for him then it's a no brainer, however very much doubt we will, hard one to say how much we should accept for him
PAFELL Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 All we now need is West Ham to sign Beattie and we're stuck with Benni without the time find a buyer and a replacement. Edit: and Benni refusing to play or train. Then Rovers refuse to pay him for breach of contract etc.
Bobby G Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Zenit want Grella? Maybe its Spaletti cause he knows him from Italy. I doubt they would pay anything noticeable for a crock. Plus who do we get instead of him. All of our wantaways are linked with moves away, but not a name being linked with us with less than a week to go for the damned window to close.

PAFELL Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Zenit St Petersburg interest in Vince Grella. This must be the quietest transfer window we have ever had - I don't just mean Rovers, but in general. Do you have a Grella link?

hollowsr Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 5m euros and I'll pack his bags for him. Good player when he plays but just doesn't play enough
Jackson Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Zenit St Petersburg interest in Vince Grella. I'll bring the sellotape. If we can hold him together for 20 minutes...
Bobby G Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 You dont think more than a second on that offer. But I bet you anything its not real.
hollowsr Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Some interesting news on this Ibricic lad- he is playing behind the strikers mainly this season but recently he has played up front due to injuries. If he has been watched recently then this will be the position he was watched in, scored 11 in 21 so far.
BRFC1995 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 I'd let him go for nothing if they paid the fare. just off the wages would be a good deal....would'nt be remotely missed and would'nt need replacing, need someone else regardless of whether he is here or not anyway. When i consider what team we are liely to put out every saturday i never consider this guy always forget about him, woeful signing.
brian_gallagher85 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 I'll bring the sellotape. If we can hold him together for 20 minutes... Do you need any help with that? I can supply bubble wrap if needed. Getting our dough back (and maybe even making a small profit) would be amazing
roversmum Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Who's starting the ambulance? I'll get my nurses set out...
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Do you need any help with that? I can supply bubble wrap if needed. Getting our dough back (and maybe even making a small profit) would be amazing Sounds too good to be true... Just out of interest, is Paul Ince their new manager?
beerwins Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Grella to Zenit An Australian in Russia 5 Million Euros Hahaha.... no wait...hahahaaa now thats the best one yet. Do they need to test injury tables or something?

I disagree - I think Rovers look a far more solid outfit when he plays - though this is rarely I admit. Over £4m for an injury prone player must surely be a joke - but at that price (given his injury record) I would sell in a shot. Unlike you - IMO we would desperately need to replace him - not sure who with - maybe Parker from WHU - all he needs to do is refuse to play for them
AJW Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Who's starting the ambulance? I'll get my nurses set out... do mums still do that?.... grella has shown glimpses of what he's about , but 5m euro's !!! only an idiot would turn that down
mellison24 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Would anybody look at Noble from West Ham? Would there be any chance of getting him for roughly the sma eamount as we'd (apparently) sell Grella?
roversmum Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 do mums still do that?.... grella has shown glimpses of what he's about , but 5m euro's !!! only an idiot would turn that down Perhaps not. It would take too long to find it
brian_gallagher85 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Would anybody look at Noble from West Ham? Would there be any chance of getting him for roughly the sma eamount as we'd (apparently) sell Grella? Hopefully the Russians don't.....
Blue n White Rover Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Would anybody look at Noble from West Ham? Would there be any chance of getting him for roughly the sma eamount as we'd (apparently) sell Grella? Not a snowflakes chance in hell.

This would be an amazing move for the club a kind of get out of jail card. Just hope it comes off.
John Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Surprised we have not been linked to Benjani yet in this window (not saying I rate him). In the summer, there seemed to be a constant link.
