benni 32 year old fat arrogant git of the books for a fee = brilliant

grella 30 year old crock off the books for a fee = flabergasting

Pedersen just gone so he can never be picked again = magic

Ibricic and maybe an under the radar striker signing(please not beattie) this could be a great week.

Andrews and roberts gone as well would make this window the best ever, a blind man could pick better players they would'nt need to be expensive to be improvements.

yes agree with above, where did you heard about Pedersen?

Can't see Sam selling both McCarthy and Pedersen in this window before having readymade replacements.

As I said in the Targets thread, I think Ibricic would be adequate in replacing them both for all the good they've done this season.

Don't underestimate the ability of the Russians to change their minds.

But that is a no brainer if they have offered E5m for Grella- he even goes at a small profit.

Then again, Andrews to Fulham for £2m was a no brainer as well.

Tough if Winnie the Pooh is the Manager....

With the emergence of Olsson I don't really think it would matter if Pedersen went and no-one came in.

Obviously over time a new left winger is a must, but if we have the chance to sell him in this window then we should do it, even if we have to wait until the end of the season to find a replacement; Olsson, Hoilett and Diouf will have that position covered.

I think a replacement will definitely be needed for McCarthy though.

Vladimir Weiss has gone on loan to Bolton, I wish we had taken him on loan instead. I have watched him on a number of occasions and he is extremely talented. I would love to have Di Santo, Kalinic, N'zonzi, Weiss, Olsson and Hoilett in the team... that would be amazing.

As for Grella, Never mind start the ambulance, I'll carry the bugger - wrapped in the bubble wrap of course!!!

Stuttgart's Turkey international Yildiray Basturk is flying in for talks with Blackburn on Tuesday.

Sportsmail revealed Rovers' interest last week and the attacking midfielder will discuss a loan transfer until the end of the season with a pay as you play deal.

Turkish delight: Yildiray Basturk could be on his way to Ewood Park

Basturk is believed to have taken advice from former Blackburn star Tugay and the club will be hoping the 31-year-old has a similar impact to his compatriot.

Rovers are

If philip is right, and there's every reason to think he is, the next six months would appear to represent a significant period for the club.

If Sam can strengthen the team and maintain authority with the players, we should be OK for the next year or two. if players leave, are not replaced, and morale ebbs away, Sam, and the club face a real uphill battle.

I wonder what Williams and the rest of the Board are thinking right now.

Well I did join the infamous facebook group so I am not a band waggoner.

I am not a Sam hater, more a Sam sort it outer with huge doubts that he will given most of the problems are now of his own making- stupidly so after he did such a fine job and got so much good will following the Ince debacle.

BENNI...gone on strike...but the fee is not settled...I think it will be.

BEATTIE...supposed to be the replacement, but no fee agreed.

GUDJOHNSEN...a call to Monaco has been made today...possible loan, but that depends how much Rovers would chip in for his wages...I wonder if we have a dispute about which one to bring in brewing.

MGP...Fenerbahce thing seems to be taking some time...does he really fancy it?

LINGANZI...under the radar, but I hear he could sign...instant impact? probably not.

So many porkies being told today that it is hard to keep up. The only consolation for Rovers is that everyone else is making a mess of the market too.

Apart from some young chap at Bolton, who seems to get all of the players he wants.

Who could this be, I wonder?

Nicko, any truth in the Basturk rumours of him coming in tomorrow for a loan play as you play deal.

Or, and Nicko the only players that Coyle is getting is players that he wanted at Burnley, 2 completely different playing styles can they really change that quickly
