The Korean has been linked for weeks and nothing has happened. Might be one for the future, but there is still a survial battle to be won.

Owen has landed a Slovakian World Cup winger and a young American World Cup midfielder...with another World Cup hopeful to come.

It's called 'planning.'

Basturk was brilliant some years ago but now?

Ibricic destroyed us in a friendly but blew it for Bosnia when it mattered

Gudjohnson cannot hack it for Monaco in the French League

I know anyone Rovers can get comes with a but and an if but Sam's spotting ability does as well.

Benni out - Gudjohnsen & Basturk in - would people be happy with that?

If Eidur turns up overweight and unfit and adds one goal in the second half of the season, does a few fancy flicks and no defending from the front then I'd imagine some fans will be delighted. As for Basturk, well if that's Turkish for *Brilliant* then I'm all for it.

Diouf- good six months, went off the boil, fallen out with Sam

Givet- good six months, now wobbly

Chimbonda- good one but where exactly should he be played

Nzonzi- great spot but the lad is being overstretched

Salgado- horrible back drop to him arriving then he doesn't play him

Kalinic- mis-used so far

Di Santo- I like this lad but the system exploits him and doesn't work for him

Van Heerden- in Turkey

Looks all ifs and buts to me

Nothing new to say on him in the last 24 hours.

MGP probably has to go for that one to happen...and that exit is not as close as anyone would have wished.

Would it be a stupid question to ask if MGP stays til after this transfer window, Sam might offer him a new contract?

BENNI...gone on strike...but the fee is not settled...I think it will be.

I'm guessing Gold and Sullivan will be putting in a lower offer than before to help "take an unsettled player off our hands?"

No choice but to sell the way i see it, he can't stay here after what he has done.

Not sure Beattie is the answer though. How strong would you say the interest is in Beattie Nicko? from other clubs? According to the press Fulham are interested as are some other clubs. If Beattie is the man Sam wants then we need to get this Benni situation sorted quickly and before its too late. We don't want to have to panic buy just before the window closes.

If Allardyce is looking at three 30 plussers to take us forward then for me Allardyce simply has to go and quickly to.

How old were Tugay and Friedel JAL? How old were Berg and Short?

We'e going to sign unproven young 'uns with potential or old 'uns with a point to prove. That's our lot.
