:rover: moses will make it,never been as sure since ashton :brfc:

Who followed our manager to Sheff Utd? and the manager then came out in the press saying:

"This lad will be the first 1 million pound player"

That wasn't John Ashton was it?

it was David Bradford who followed Ken Furphy to Sheff U, think he took Tony Field as well!!

Seems strange, if he's that good, that only Championship clubs are in for him?

I would usually agree with this sentiment Gav - but have you seen some of the goals this guy scores? Some of them are literally unbelievable.

I know we could say the same about Gamst (MOTD player a few years back) but I've watched this guy close up and he will be an England player within 2 years IMO.

Only last week there rumours flying around that Barca, City & Arsenal wanted him.... I agree it's strange, but watch a few videos of him this season and then tell me you think he won't make it!

He could turn in to the next Bostock moving to a big club and then never getting a look in. No one will knwo untill hes given a proper chance. If its only a couple of million then hes well worth the risk.

Very true...a move to a club like ours would be ideal......get a bid in for him!!

It was indeed, thanks for that.

Not seen much of him to be honest, I like the idea of buying potential, but the clubs budget just doesn't allow us to do that, which is a shame.

I've not seen anything of him but I agree with GAV, why have only the likes of West Brom shown an official interest? Tony Finnigan has been on SkySports advertising that Moses is for sale so why no interest when he'll be available for a minimal fee?

SSN reckon that Benjani is in talks with Sunderland. Another bullet dodged.

Strange one - half hour ago SSN said that he wasnt for sale, as per Mancini and therefore West Ham had dropped their interest.

Hope West Ham confirm the signing of Beattie later today.....then we can dodge another one!

As for Moses, the plot thickens - Apparently Madrid want him but wont pay more than £2m, which isnt acceptable by Palace

Waiting for Real Madrid

1.5m and likely to be reasonable wages - it's an absolute no brainer. He can play on the left wing or upfront, and is probably ideally suited to the left of a front three. Huge sell on potential - get him signed up.

Bostoc kis 18 and has been loaned out for experience. Also going to Spurs in a nail in the coffin of any young players career. May as well go down the casino and stick your life savings on 0.

You assume that other clubs are interested but are waiting for others to show their hand first. No point jumping in at £5m when the next highest offeris £1.5m.

Technically this kid is spot on. He can do just about everything: cross, pass accruately, long range goals, tap ins, etc. Worth a few million anyway considering the prices flying round these days.

On the other thread someone has said Moses Newcastle bid has been accepted.....must include bonus payments based on promotion surely!?

Seriously Rovers - Bid for him!!!!!

From what i've seen of Moses he looks a decent player with a lot of potential. I can't see us losing money on a deal for him and there is a big opportunity for a decent profit in the future.

We should be seriously looking at this player.

Rumours eh?

Apparently those rumours were wrong then?

Sometimes the market place does tell the truth.

Moses has been available for weeks.

Three Championship sides want him.

A pal of mine played with him and says he is a luxury player. Can Rovers afford that in their style?

His agent is Tony Finnegan who some will recall is not a major Rovers fan.

Nicko, do you think its likely we won't make a 'solid' move for a striker until Benni has actually gone? Sam reckons Benni's transfer will be completed in 48 hours. If that is the case then its not leaving us much time to get a player in to take a look at, medical, discuss terms etc.
