mellison24 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 More like back to 4-5-1 with Roberts missing from 2 yards. Woo-hoo. I can't hardly wait for that negative borefest. The sooner this season finishes, we hopefully backheel BFS, and get someone in with a bit more ambition and positivity the better. Like Ince you mean?

MarkBRFC71 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Like who....? Be careful what you wish for. I wish we were more positive. I wish we wouldn't play negative, percentage, set-pieced based boring sh1te. I wish we would get back at least a little of the bully-boy stuff and make sure the big teams knew they'd been in a game rather than them walking off like they'd just played a testimonial. I don't know who can deliver that, but it is NOT Allardyce. He'll likely keep us up, but then should move on. JW and the board have got plenty time to look for a replacement. Anyway, let's see who he can pull out of the bag today/tomoz. Hopefully not Beattie!
brfc_jonesy Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 I really don't understand why Alladyce gets slagged off so much. Look at the players we have? Hardly the sort that can play a fluent passing game. This is the blokes first full season with us, with hardly anything in the bank, got us to a semi final and we are 10th in the league. Getting rid of him is not an option at all. He has 100% of my backing, he's slowly trying to build his own team. Fair play to ya Big Sam
Eddie Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 We'vve dodged a bullet on Araujo. A player who really flatters to deceive. One good piece of skill every few games that makes up for the fact that he's mostly ineffective. Can't see him being a big success in the premier league.
Bobby G Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Good to hear that Eddie. I hadnt seen him play to be honest, but I know he was highly rated a couple of years ago.
Bobby G Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Could it be Cassano? He is available on loan for 6 months. What a signing that would be. He just rejected Fiorentina today.

The latest criteria are 'unexpected' and 'moving fast' (which kinda equates to unexpected as well), so you never know! I'd be surprised if we sign someone else tbh, but anyone like Beattie (or of higher quality, or younger player) would suit me just fine! Looking like a successful window already compared to many other clubs!
philipl Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 We are in the zone of any name from outside the UK has to be getting on a plane RIGHT NOW if they are going to have a proper medical and assessment ahead of the 5pm deadline tomorrow. I am discounting any new names from outside the UK making it in time for this window for Rovers.
MarkBRFC71 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Could it be Cassano? He is available on loan for 6 months. What a signing that would be. He just rejected Fiorentina today. Unlikely, but would be a fantastic signing. Fingers crossed anyway!

Funny you mention Cassano Bobby, because an Italian living here says that he wants to play in England and that he is waiting on an offer. If Sam pulls that off, then il eat somebody's cat.

If Sam pulls that off, then il eat somebody's cat. Cassano would only for top4 club and City. His wages must be atleast double we pay for anyone now. And he is an idiot.
Bobby G Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 An out of this world talented idiot, you can add.
Yerotsluap Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Dindane Dindane being linked again on sky sports
Bobby G Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Sky Sports "understands" we are interested in Dindane again...Oh my...
modes98 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Can someone get that barge pole out again. We have just had one lucky escape with the brazilian, hopefully we have another here. Dindane is not good enough.
John Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aruna_Dindane On 5 December 2009, he scored against Burnley with a header after missing a penalty earlier in the game. In the end of january 2010 he signed for the english footballclub Blackburn Rovers for an undisclosed fee.
MarkBRFC71 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Like to see us try for Jamie O'Hara in summer - stood out for Pompey today.

RibbleValleyRover Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Dindane is not the answer at all. I think its just SSN knowing that Birmingham have pulled out and we have a striking vacancy with Benni going that they think we may make a move, so no real substance to it.

chaddyrovers Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Robert Lewandowski has sign for us http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Lewandowski we also sign aruna dindane http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aruna_Dindane roberts going??????
Guest Kamy100 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Dindane's finishing is not the best, but his pace upfront would give us another dimension and open up space for other players.
Yerotsluap Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Interestingly the Dindane story has disappeared off the sky website
