[Archived] Sam's January Targets

Dindane's finishing is not the best, but his pace upfront would give us another dimension and open up space for other players.

Well we know Sam was interested in Dindane last summer, so likely to be something in it.

We'vve dodged a bullet on Araujo. A player who really flatters to deceive. One good piece of skill every few games that makes up for the fact that he's mostly ineffective. Can't see him being a big success in the premier league.

I concur; he's no one to get excited about.

I'm not sure if Lewandowski and Beattie are adequate replacements for McCarthy and Roberts. Beattie is better than Roberts by some way in my opinion, but Lewandowski isn't exactly a huge name.

I may be doing him him a disservice though, he's only 21.

If we did sign those two we'd have 3 strikers below the age of ~23 and just one experienced one!

judging by nicko`s comments about our target making sense after the events of `the last couple of days`, i have a feeling we could move for frazier campbell of sunderland. liverpool are belived to be about to take kenwyne jones but they probably won`t pay enough for sunderland to use the money and sign robbie keane(he`d cost about 8m to 10m), that`s where the likely 2.5m to 3m rovers would pay for campbell comes into it.

possible? he fits the criterea for next season`s ruling, and the preferred criterea of our club, young, promising and english.

Not really as Sunderland paid 3.5m in the Summer which could rise to 6m!

that makes the move even more possible. he`s not really hit it off at sunderland and if the extra money they have to pay is based on appearances then they`d probably want rid. 2.5m to 3m would get them most of their money back and they wouldn`t have to pay another penny to united.
