Mcarthy and roberts out for beattie and gudjohnsen ? thoughts anyone?

that would be one of the best swaps rovers have ever done. if sam pulls that off i would be brilliant. all we would then need is a midfielder n thats business done in january

I wonder if we would bring Gudjonsson in and play him in midfield? That would actually make a huge amount of sense, given his touch and creativity...?

Gudjohnsen? You are struggling to find the wages for Meriem...

Mind you, maybe the local casino could sponsor the move.

Or somebody could rob the Bank at Monte Carlo.

Do you know what Monaco are paying him?

I would have thought the idea would be, if at all plausible, to shift out Benni and transfer his 40k wages to Gudjohnssen? Nowhere near his 90k at Barcalona but surely Monaco can't afford that?

If Benni and Roberts left surely we'd have a decent shot at it?

Struggling to find the wages for Merriem...yet some think that The Walker Trust taking away their £3million a year investment does not affect us.

Afraid they are wrong. We could just do with that money now!

Beattie - getting on now - id rather see us buy a younger player who will be at the top of his game for at least another 3-4 years!

Such as? And for how much?

We are shopping in the bargain bin Hughesy and getting "a younger player who will be at the top of his game for at least another 3-4 years" for next to nowt in the January transfer window is tough to say the least. In fact Sam might have been better off looking for rocking horse $hit.

We would hardly miss Roberts if he went without a replacement.....

Ship out Roberts on in January - £1m fee + saved wages

Then look to the summer for potential freebies (like the lad at PSV was it?) or un-earth another gem.

Would Benni/Roberts out and Eidur/Beattie in be a huge wage hike? If we offload MGP as well as Zurab?

Now I like the sound of that T4E. There will be a pint on the bar in the Blues Bar for you if that happens.

Eidur would fit into an attacking midfield role. Cant remember the last time he played up front. Definitely not at his spell in Barcelona.

Thats the main reason why he could play till he is 34-35. He has a good footballing brain.

The next Tugay???
