There is picking up on a mistake and making it funny. There's also a point where the joke is tedious. NEARLY there haha.

And there's a point where everything you write is not only inaccurate, but presented in an annoying way.

There you go, he's a like-for-like. I'll add that he's a rovers fan, so that adds something extra!! He will work harder!! Do you think Dunn tried as hard for Brum as he does for us? Or Derbs as hard for Olympiakos? Beattie will work harder simply because he is one of us. He feels the results of the club as much as we do. That can only be a good thing, surely? You may think it's balls, but if you were a player, would you try as hard for other clubs as you would Rovers. I'll answer for you: no.

Mellison please

Dunny's a Rovers fan but if hes offered more money elsewhere hes off. Matty Derbyshire was a fan but he wanted off.

So being a fan will make you work harder, really, ok then.

Exhibit A.

What exactly is wrong with my posting that seems to offend you so much? I mean this merely as an enquiry. With most things football I seem to agree with you. Yet you disagree with me about the politics of football, which is pretty minor, so why do you feel the need to reference it to the point of exhaustion? I understand that my optimism, pedantism and sarcasm can ALL get annoying, but why don't you just ignore my posts if they bug you so much?

He wasn't here that long as far as I can remember Rev, but he finished up getting the Jimmy Quinn treatment. Great player - too late.

Currently arguably we're reduced to players too late who were never that great in the first place! (Beattie)

Just looked it up. Radford came in on 25/2 (the game I remember) and scored 4 goals in 13 games at the back end of 77/8.

Then six goals in 23 appearances in 78/9 - the season we went down. It looks like he was sold end of March that season to make way for Duncan McKenzie.

I'm surprised, I didn't think he was here that long. You're probably right in that he got worse as time went on.

Some time after Radford left, Fox called a meeting at Ewood that supporters could attend.

When the question of Radford was raised, Fox said the manager had signed him as the last piece of the jigsaw to get us promoted.

Hoever, again according to Fox, he turned out to be a totally disastrous signing because he didn't perform to the manager's hopes and, from what I remember, was very disruptive in the dressing room.

Thanks for that 92er, not sure if I've heard that before.

Personally, going from my hazy recollection at the time, I'd have put our woes more down to making a poor appointment as caretaker in Norman Bodell when Jim Smith left, then an even worse permanent appointment in Jim Iley. Crucially as well the Board/Iley failed to secure the services of Dave Gregory who'd come in on loan and performed like a house on fire. That was a massive blow to morale.

Not just at Radford's feet. But then I wasn't privy to what was happening in the dressing room.

Well opinions are subjective, so can't be inaccurate (unless you are a schizophrenic). And if I am annoying, I can only apologise, but that's how I express myself.

To be fair there's a few times I've seen you correct people's spelling which is annoying.

Back on topic, selling Matty was good business, massively over rated due to him being local.

I apologise for my pedantry (thanks LeChuck) but mis-spelling does tend to bug me. I'll stop correcting spelling unless I'm directly replying to the subject matter.

And I agree on Matty.

Course it would.

You're actually telling me that putting on a Rovers shirt wouldn't mean more to you than any other? Really, ok then.

If he's offered more money, yes he'll be off.....but that has jack all to do with how hard he'd work while playing for us. Ditto with Beattie.

If I were at Rovers and ManYoo cam calling with more money, I'd move. but I'd work harder for Rovers than for other clubs.

Flash Dunny £50-60k a week and he'll be gone in a flash. If Beattie had the option of Rovers and say Sunderland for arguments sake, and Sunderland were offering him £10k more in salary. He'd be off to the North East in a flash!

Money talks, there is no loyalty left in football!

Don't forget to blow her* up before you start. And repair any punctures.

You would know about that ;)

Still old. I'm 18! However, my judgement on what is old will gradually get higher no doubt!

Just to keep on topic, I want Beattie here.

Why though? Would you not want to be the best player possible? Would you not want to achieve the most in your career, and by not working as hard for your new club, you are damaging your own record and the potential to be the best player you can be.
