Freebie in the summer

Just read about it in Nicko's topic. I think he's a good addition to the squad. Might need some time to get used to the pace and power of the EPL, but definately can play ball.

Sounds good. You should keep us updated if you hear anything.

I have read that they are thinking about giving Slory a pay-rise to make him sign a new contract, but that's not in Feyenoords police these days since they are trying to get the wage budget down. Let him go as a freebie in the summer is no option.

Yeah I was going to say that.

Worth about 2m Bolton allegedly wanted 10m.

Must have been bad in the first half of the season if we can now suddenly afford him!

If we can suddenly find £10m we shouldn't be looking at either Davies or Beattie!!

Doubt we could even get close to affording his wages, but he is your 'Sam Allardyce' kinda signing.

I take it you have read the last few pages and noticed that this story has been doing the rounds and been discussed for about a week now.

I think gudjohnsen was a class act , and as he gets older i can quite easily see him drop back into a midfield role, but would i like to see rovers pay £2m then offer a 3-4year contract at 50-60k a week?......mmmmm, dont think so

Gudjohnsen played in midfield for Chealsea, I think?

Sorry only been fleetingly visiting the board recently so struggling to keep up. Looked back over the last page or two and didn't see it mentioned.

Well that was a waste of time eh?!

Thats not so bad a six month turnaround, didnt work, out everyone moves so everyones happy, dont see a problem here.

The biggest disappointment has to be Maceo Righters, now this guy was in the same boat but has stayed around taking the money yet providing nothing in return.

BIG NEWS -

Sam says money is available and we are looking to sign two players, who are rumored to be Eidur and the Korean kid.

He says JW has been trying hard to make funds available.

Sam is being blocked from signing Camel Meriem because he's not home grown.

What a waste of time this has been too.

Why invite him back and forth for God knows how long to finally say to Sam "best not eh?" Our club should have flagged this up as being an issue months ago.

What happened to a good old fashioned "no"? Sounds to me as he's either not good enough or secondly we can't even afford a freebie despite what Bobby's posted above.
