Ideally if we can move in for our targets now before the games come thick and fast, it could mean that we have a couple of extra bodies against Villa, at least in the second leg.

Can they play? havent players to be registered on the date of the first scheduled tie?

Goal.com mentioning Big Sam interested to sign a korean creative midfield

http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2010/01/08/1733136/exclusive-blackburn-rovers-are-looking-for-two-new-players

A clip of him (Koo Ja-cheol)

His play style seems to suit Big Sam's style, so anybody know if there is any truth in this?

Well his name would give the BBE plenty of options ;)

Sam is being blocked from signing Camel Meriem because he's not home grown.

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Allardyce-rows-with-Blackburn-over-free-agent-Meriem-article280787.html

Maybe it eould help to offload a few that are not home grown. Salgado being the first that springs to mind. SA has to work within the framework set down by the board and in the best interest of the club just as Owen Coyle had to do likewise at Burnley. :rover:

Tribal alleges that we're interested in Senderos.

?...... Centre halves hardly being a priority at the moment..... unless we are thinking of selling one.

I wouldnt personally believe much I read in the Telegraph now, Peter White used to be spot on with his reports but lately we get very little accurate information until everything ios concluded!

Still more reliable than crap internet sites though.

The quotes attributed to Sam yesterday about bringing in two players could easily be lanzini and merium (sp?)

If he indeed ever spoke to the internet site in question - which would seem unlikely.

If it's on the Internet, it must be true :)

The "sivasspor" website about van Heerden isn't anything offical, more like Vital Rovers. So those reports might still be far from true.

The French connection continues...Sky are reporting we're interested in Thomert from Rennes and that Stanislas Oliveira is almost a done deal.I do like the sound of Thomert particularly.Probably just paper-talk though, especially with the 3-club alert.

Linky-link!

I too like the sound of him, although his wiki has little info. But his appearance/goals ratio seems pretty good:

Olivier Thomert: Wiki!

As uni student, I LOVE wiki. We can't admit that to our lecturers of course haha. But after floating around a couple of sites, they say the same as wiki for his stats in terms of apps/goals. I'd quite like to see him here now!

Here we go again

Chelsea apparently are to bid £36 million for Dzeko at Wolfsburg, were we not after him for £10 million in the summer?
