Bobby G Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Tris, these same players also failed to play under Ince. So lets not be too kind to them. I agree with what you said in essence though.

broadsword Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 On tonights performance we need a keeper, right back, left back, two centre backs four midfielders, two strikers and a new manager!! don't wanna be greedy so I'll just take a new manager.
Steve Moss Posted January 11, 2010 Author Posted January 11, 2010 Tris, these same players also failed to play under Ince. So lets not be too kind to them. I agree with what you said in essence though. I think Sam will keep us up. To do this comfortably, he needs to things. First, he needs to realize that certain players are habitually not playing to their potential. He should purge them from the squad. Essentially, he needs to go with our youth. Anyone over 25 can say hello to the Reserves for a few weeks. Its not like playing the young guys would result in any worse of a performance. Second, he needs to make improvements to the midfield. With Meriem and Linganzi, it seems he realizes this. May he continue to make cost-effective progress. I am not advocating sacking Sam. I am dissappointed in the team's recent performances. I think there is a cancer in the squad (I'm not sure whom and why) but Sam needs to cut it out. And if he has to bench some decent experienced players to make sure he gets the disease, so be it.

You come out with these sort of excuses and suggestions week after week. You need to read the match thread tonight, and the one called Enough is Enough. That is the state of affairs here now. If you don't believe it, jump on a plane and come and see for yourself.
Backroom Tom Posted January 11, 2010 Backroom Posted January 11, 2010 Hope Waggy can come back to Ewood soon.
Hi Mack Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 You come out with these sort of excuses and suggestions week after week. You need to read the match thread tonight, and the one called Enough is Enough. That is the state of affairs here now. If you don't believe it, jump on a plane and come and see for yourself. Sam Allargyce is totally out of his depth he did what he did at Bolton due to the personnel there at the time. A big Hoof up to Davies is alot different to a big hoof up to Roberts/McCarthy etc! He needs to change his tactics........but he cant!
bluebruce Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Its a messageboard, the place to say what you think, would you rather people towed the party line and didn’t make waves? I know a word for that…… Is it something most men like to put their genitals in? Look, you can all rant till the cows come home (and seem to be trying) about the right to free speech etc. Yes, Waggy can have his own opinion. Yes, people can criticise that opinion. Yes, people can criticise that criticism, and this criticism of criticism can likewise be criticised, ad infinitum. But (and this is just a suggestion, a critical one even, obviously, open to criticism itself if you want to bore us all to tears) how about we all spare one another the existential quandary and just stick to saying what we feel, preferably without being personally offensive to one another, and without questioning the nature of whether anyone has a right to criticise an opinion. Because the fact is we do.

I am sure that collectivly we all want what is best for Rovers and have opinions on how that is achieved.
Steve Moss Posted January 12, 2010 Author Posted January 12, 2010 Sam is allegedly putting together a 2 million bid for Cardiff's Ledley. http://www.fansfc.com/BlackburnRovers/story/18199/4.html If Dunn is really going this summer, this would be a wise move.
unluckymorton Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 no nicko comments this morning? Nicko maybe waiting for this thread to change it's name to 'The next manager's targets'...
The Rover of Finland Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 We can´t afford sacking Sam. Simple as that.
unluckymorton Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 We can´t afford sacking Sam. Simple as that. We can't afford to be relegated either, look at Charlton & So'ton.
Hughesy Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 We can´t afford sacking Sam. Simple as that. Very true. We can't afford to be relegated either, look at Charlton & So'ton. Very true also - but whats to say Sam would get us relegated? 13th is hardly 'going down'.
Iceman Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Very true. Very true also - but whats to say Sam would get us relegated? 13th is hardly 'going down'. If we cant score goals, and we keep conceding goals, and with only 3 points ahead of those below us, then 13th is by no means safe either Chris...
Brfcrule1 Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 hi all, don't know how to put this in light of the recent performances and how bad all players have been it seems as though our new Viera N'Zonzi has been attracting envious glances from SAF check the link below http://www.fansfc.com/story/18215.html thoughts please I have to say we have to keep him at all costs otherwise we are doomed laters
Bobby G Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 No one will sign him yet. He is too raw and some people are overestimating his overall contribution. He is impressive for a 20 year old who has jumped from Ligue Deux to the Premier League but there is a long way to go yet.
47er Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I think he's said that he's met "lardarse" once or twice before. if he doesn't want to go because Allardyce is there, that's purely down to him, I don't know what the big fuss is, let him get on with it. We're all free to attend which ever games we wish to. Waggy might remember,I doubt Sam does!
Mc Love Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Anyone know if Shefki Kuqi is still knocking about? Or
Hughesy Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Meriem medical passed yesterday according to tribal!
Bobby G Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Maybe he could be a messiah on the pitch for us.
LeChuck Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Sam is allegedly putting together a 2 million bid for Cardiff's Ledley. http://www.fansfc.com/BlackburnRovers/story/18199/4.html If Dunn is really going this summer, this would be a wise move. He would be an absolutely brilliant signing. It's links to people like him, Gudjohnsen etc. that make me think Allardyce deserves a chance to sort us out in this window and see what he can do. Ledley would be great though, just what we need in midfield.
Gav Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Is it something most men like to put their genitals in? It wasn't that no, but you've just cheered me up

Lets get shut of Roberts, Reid & Zurab - bring in the two above & we look much stronger. Board need to back in January....
Ricky Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Hughesy, not sure if you're aware of this but players need to have 'buyers' for us to sell. Just a minor flaw in your otherwise wonderful plan!!!
