PR stunt or not, they are two absolute hoods, who don't know how to behave in public because they are surrounded by people telling them they are the man and they can do no wrong. If they weren't boxers, they would just be your typical load mouth scumbags hanging around outside night clubs looking to get into a scrap, to justify the amount of time and money they spend going to the gym and to show their 'boys' how hard they are.

So here's something I don't understand.

I was watching Ringside this morning, Emmanuel Steward was asked whether Mormeck was a decent test for Wladimir. He replied something along the lines of "Wladimir had to take this fight, or he could have been stripped of his title". Understand that the fighter has to take on the mandatory challenger, so what I'm wondering is why isn't Vitali the number one contender for Wladimir's titles, why isn't Wladimir the number one contender for Vitali's title, and why hasnt either been stripped for not facing each other?

You're only ranked if your a member of the organisation. Wlad isn't a member of the WBC and Vitali isn't a member of the others.

I did not know that. Sneaky.

Sparky - I know they have vowed not to fight. The whole world knows that. Hence the problem.

I wouldn't say its sneaky, a fighter can pick and choose what organisation he wants to pay to join. However it does highlight what a joke having numerous belts has become. Anyway, you have to ask yourself would you really want to watch them fight? 12 rounds of 'gentleman Jabs' at best. The division needs flesh blood, opponents of a similar size and strength not the farce we saw last night. We're back in the days of Larry Holmes at the moment.

You've probably summed it up better than I did. You would hope that the rankings system would ensure that the best fighters have to fight each other more often than not, or have their titles taken away. It seems daft that it's so easy to get around it. As you said, that's due to their being so many belts/organisations.

Obviously they wouldn't fight, and I wouldn't particularly want to see it, but atleast them being stripped of a title or two for not doing so would open things up a bit. There could be a heavyweight title fight held somewhere other than Germany, for example. The Klitschko's have everything on their own terms, which can surely only lead to stagnation.

Over here we have the likes of Fury and Price coming through, do the US not have any young promising heavyweights?

Have my doubts over Fury but others seem to think he has a big future, it's a poor division so who knows. Price looks very promising and has a good amateur background however I have heard a few say his chin isn't great but that will tested when he moves up through better opposition. There's the Finish lad Helenius who looks like a Klitschko he was gifted a win over Chisora last December when Chisora easily won. The best of the rest are of Eastern European backgrounds and I can't remember most their names apart from possibly the best of the bunch; Pulev. Not really seen much of the Americans, there's a lad called Seth Mitchell and another called Jennings (cant remember his first name) but neither have exactly made a big impression, still, Tyson came out of the blue. I think there's also another Ukranian that keeps getting mentioned but I don't recall seeing him.

Don't know much about wilder but I've what I've read is suggesting he's not great. There was talk fury could fight him but fury has picked another journeyman for his next bout.
