cn174 Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Where is this? Is it far from the ground? The eight bells is next to Putney Bridge station. To get there from the ground you have to walk through the park.

cn174 Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 I'll be there from 6.30 never met any of you guys, I'll be the guy with table full of pints You'll be lucky to get a table in there - it is normally rammed!
Brfcrule1 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 so just to confirm is fifth spot the cut off point for europe or as normal is it the top 8 that qualify for europe? thanks
Bobby G Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Officially 5th spot is cut off point but usually if the winner of the League Cup and the two finalists of the FA Cup all finish in the top 4 then extra spots open up in the league, usually 6th and 7th. For tonight, I think the only change will be Lars for Givet, with Pascal moving to left back.
modes98 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 I thought it had changed this year and you could only claim the european spot if you won the cup. So runners up wouldn't get in and it would go to the league. Looking forward to tonights game. We always have good games at Fulham.
roversfan1 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Im going for a draw in this one, 1-1 (Di Santo to score) which isnt that bad as Fulham are doing ok and our record away from home isnt brilliant despite winning last time out!

I personally would stick with the diamond as you say but get Emerton and Diouf to play much much narrower. We can't leave the kind of space in the centre against Fulham which we did against Bolton. There is an outside chance Olsson could start with Chimbonda back at RB. Would give us more attacking options down both flanks if make us more vulnerable down the left.
Bobby G Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 I really want to see Kalinic in action, given a decent try out.
BrownieFC Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 I really want to see Kalinic in action, given a decent try out. I dont. I wanna see McCarthy still think he is our best striker and most likely to score or at least create a goal drop Roberts try Di Santo and Benni up front
LeChuck Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 I'm pretty certain our Bolton formation wasn't a diamond, Dunny had far more defensive responsibility than someone at the tip of a diamond would have. It was a pretty basic 4-4-2 with Dunn given license to go forward and N'Zonzi being the holding player. Such was Dunn's fitness levels that he was basically playing as the box-to-box midfielder, not a role many of us imagined he would be able to play again after his injury problems. Just looked at Fulham's previous starting line-up and they played Chris Baird and Jonathan Greening in central midfield, so if they're forced to do something similar again I'd be confident of Dunn and N'Zonzi being able to come out on top in that battle.
McClarky Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Just a point to overtake the Dingles. Come on, surely we can do that. Fulham are good when they're on their game and poor when they're not so if we catch them on a bad night we should win easily and storm into the top half.
Bobby G Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Dunn wasnt the tip of the diamond. He was the left sided player in it.
LeftWinger Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Dunn wasnt the tip of the diamond. He was the left sided player in it. In the second half Diouf seemed to spend a lot of time on the left, with Chimbonda linking up with him. I think Dunn and Diouf did a lot of position swapping - Dunn just seemed to be everywhere. He looked like he'd lost some weight to me and seemed to have a little bit of extra pace for it.
berkshireblue Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 See you both in there!! (Should be also 6.30ish) Excellent
DP Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 See you both in there!! (Should be also 6.30ish) Hopefully be there for 6:30 as well. At least it won't be so cold standing outside this time.
14May1995 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Hopefully be there for 6:30 as well. At least it won't be so cold standing outside this time. Better get there at 6.29 then - sounds like there could be a 6.30 rush!!!
Ossydave Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 It's being shown on a number of Scandanavian 'dodgy' channels for those that can't make it and know a pub that show them.

PAFELL Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 S look forward to it, be there 6.30pmish I should get there for about 5.30pm as only coming from Hasting area.
Balwer Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Anybody got an idea on how many we'll have there tonight? 500? 1000? We seem to have a fair bit of support in the capital, and the crowd last season was decent (and loud).
PAFELL Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Just a thanks from us northerner-dwellers who can't afford to get down to the London games (especially at this time) - good to see we have a fair few darn sarf showing their support when they can. Coming north for the christmas games - spurs wigan and sunderland. I think people would be surprised how many Rovers supporters live down in the south. There used to be - not sure if there still is - a rovers supporters club in London.
Balwer Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 A lot of foreigners that support Rovers (like myself and American) seem to live in London, but I agree the overall support down south for Rovers is great to see.
