EnglishChris Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 what you think we are going to beat Chelsea and not Villa
OhmiBRFC Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 MK-Burnley, who do we hope wins that? Obviously that was said tongue-in-cheek? Why would we care if MK Dons get knocked out, or not? Rather have the scum out then MK Dons. Can't abide Burnley. MK Dons mean nothing to us. As soon as Villa got draw I said to my mate we'll get this.
Mr. E Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 what you think we are going to beat Chelsea and not Villa We're at home and Chelsea might at least play with a number of reserves...better chance I'd say.
Steve Moss Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 what you think we are going to beat Chelsea and not Villa I think we can beat both, but AV will be a tougher job as we'll be away. I'm actually looking forward to the Chelsea game. It may sound deluded, but I think we can win this one.

OhmiBRFC Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 No, I have, just don't understand why people would be so bothered about what he does, or doesn't do now. No concern of ours. The Rovers and Burnley rivalry is far bigger than Ince ever will be.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Totally apathetic to the draw.We have more pressing concerns: Like getting our manager to play two up front and thus saving our Premierleague arses!!!
champions1995 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 It's a a tough and certainly not ideal draw, but thankfully it's local and I can go.
1864roverite Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 For those thinking a shock is on the cards for Chelsea FORGET it they have taken apart a top quality Arsenal side with such ease I really fear a spanking on Wednesday. As for the Villa cup game, well for me I dont think we can win it at Villa, maybe a draw at best and a replay.
FourLaneBlue Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Oh well...guess we better concentrate on the league then.
champions1995 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Let's hope Villa progress past Pompey in the Carling Cup on Tuesday night as a place in the semi finals might distract them from the FA Cup.
nick123 Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Its the cup. Its a one off game, they may of had a great or not so great December and be concentrating on league matches ahead, there is a long time between now and the game, Villa have a habit of not doing well in the cup of late. Believe!!
EnglishChris Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 I think we can beat both, but AV will be a tougher job as we'll be away. I'm actually looking forward to the Chelsea game. It may sound deluded, but I think we can win this one. If we play as badly as we did do yesterday which no doubt we will do then we don't stand a chance at beating them which we won't do, Like I've said I'd settle for it no being a 5-0 like it was last month at there ground.
Steve Moss Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 EnglishChris, I don't think we played badly. I watched the game again and though I was severely disappointed with the result (I kept hoping for Di Santo, Samba, Diouf, N'Zoni, Emerton, Nelsen to score on their strikes, even though I'd seen the game twice before) I thought we played a very patient, thoughtful and above all skilled game. We made our chances, though we couldn't get the points on board. And everytime I see the fouls on Di Santo and Samba in the box that go unremarked on, my blood pressure sky rockets. We need video assistance for the referees ASAP. Anyway, we can beat Chelsea this week. The 1/16th Irish part of my DNA is feeling very lucky about this one.
roversfan1 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Tough draw - yes we can win but our away form is awful so cannot really see it happening....still would rather we lost away at a Prem ground than becoming one of the 'shocks of the round' away at a lower league team! Here is to the push for Europe in the league instead
ABBEY Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Why all the negativity on here? I thought everyone thinks this sam fella is doing a great job...
tcj_jones Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I don't suppose anybody knows how long it usually takes for the dates of these fixtures to be announced? Or if anybody has a rough idea themselves?
cn174 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I don't suppose anybody knows how long it usually takes for the dates of these fixtures to be announced? Or if anybody has a rough idea themselves? The FA Cup is on the 2nd January. It could be moved for TV, but I doubt very much that will happen.
jonv Posted November 30, 2009 Author Posted November 30, 2009 2nd and 3rd January according to Fa website, no announcement on who and when though.
broadsword Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 completely underwhelmded. That isn't a comment on Allardyce, but rather on the devaluation of the Cup. Just feels like a non-event these days. We won't get past Villa, not with our pitiful away form.
