maf-u Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Sounds modest, low key and well timed. Well done Rovers, now lets read about all the other teams.. partying in London, that bit closer to the Christmas fixture list congestion. The Dingles were out in London Saturday night apparently ....
alexanders Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Nor me! When I was in Stockholm the booze prices were higher than anywhere else I have ever seen. Not a place for partying. Stay away from Norway. Its 10 times worse.
PAFELL Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 The Dingles were out in London Saturday night apparently .... Drowning their sorrows having rovers over take them in the prem - plus fear of their pending relegation starting to loom. Though I think it would be good for rovers for them to stay up imo.
John Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Few other clubs had their Xmas parties last weekend, Stockholm is a bit random though....
Paul Mellelieu Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Few other clubs had their Xmas parties last weekend, Stockholm is a bit random though.... I think it shows an unusual (for football players) amount of good taste.
the swede Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 REALLY? I'd LOVE attention from the ladies over there! Swedish lasses are F.I.T!! nice ladies you say This is the place where they had the party. http://www.stureplan.se/articles/10395/ http://www.stureplan.se/articles/10398/ Can't spot any of our guys, maybe that's a good sign.
Steve Moss Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 No???? OK you got me, I'm really Benni McCarthy! And I'm Samba.
mellison24 Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 And I'm Samba. Pfffft, and Kevin Ellison is my cousin. Bullshhh.....oh, wait....
jonv Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 nice ladies you say This is the place where they had the party. http://www.stureplan.se/articles/10395/ http://www.stureplan.se/articles/10398/ Can't spot any of our guys, maybe that's a good sign. the guys in those pics look like a bunch of gays.
JAL Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Great thread and excellent stuff by the players, hope they had a great time in Stokholm. For me its something that must be done for building or enhancing a strong team work ethos.
roversmum Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Absolutely. Hope you had a great time, boys.
Hughesy Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 nice ladies you say This is the place where they had the party. http://www.stureplan.se/articles/10395/ http://www.stureplan.se/articles/10398/ I hope one of our lads 'dealt' with the one with the fake pair. NICE club.
Guest andrewpickup Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 I think it shows an unusual (for football players) amount of good taste. a goodbye lenin avitar? how unusual here! anyway I agree, shows some class and culture, liverpool meanwhile ill be in cheshire somewhere in 'hilarious' fancy dress pissing and scrapping
Commondore Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 nice ladies you say This is the place where they had the party. http://www.stureplan.se/articles/10395/ http://www.stureplan.se/articles/10398/ Can't spot any of our guys, maybe that's a good sign. I wouldn't want to be seen dead in there, music from hell clustered with conversation, atmosphere and people without the slightest hint of substance. Still, a perfect place for a Premier League footballer I would imagine
DanLad Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 nice ladies you say This is the place where they had the party. http://www.stureplan.se/articles/10395/ http://www.stureplan.se/articles/10398/ Can't spot any of our guys, maybe that's a good sign. Looks like a good club (not that I'm any expert). Do they have Strongbow on draught? Edit - typo!
Blue n White Rover Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Great thread and excellent stuff by the players, hope they had a great time in Stokholm. For me its something that must be done for building or enhancing a strong team work ethos. But if we lose on Saturday to Hull, how many of you will be saying the same thing?
Hughesy Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 But if we lose on Saturday to Hull, how many of you will be saying the same thing? IF, but, maybe..... If you get knocked over tomorrow, you might not be here on saturday - its all ifs and buts. IF we hadnt had a christmas do and lost - who or what would you blame then!?
Blue n White Rover Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 IF, but, maybe..... If you get knocked over tomorrow, you might not be here on saturday - its all ifs and buts. IF we hadnt had a christmas do and lost - who or what would you blame then!? Not the Christmas do! They're getting paid £30k a week and maybe more for some players to go out and party in Stockholm, when they could have been in training. If we don't win on Saturday I bet you any money that part of the blame will be pointed towards this party. It's ridiculous, if you want to go out on the lash go after the seasons ended, not when there's a crucial game just around the corner!
Backroom Tom Posted December 10, 2009 Backroom Posted December 10, 2009 If we get beat on Saturday I'm pretty sure this will have nothing to do with it.

If they get along better they are more likely to play better. A good booze up together is beneficial, espeically when it's not the night before a game.
Amo Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 If we get beat on Saturday I'm pretty sure this will have nothing to do with it. But the usual melon heads will purport otherwise.
Presty On Tour Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Has anyone got a magic lamp? I've got 3 wishes!
Backroom Tom Posted December 10, 2009 Backroom Posted December 10, 2009 In fact was it not last year that the lads went up to Scotland for a break funded by player fines and they came back on a win? These things are good for moral. guys if you look really really carefully at the girl in purple, eventually you will notice she is wearing a necklace, hard to spot at first.
