Backroom Tom Posted December 23, 2009 Backroom Posted December 23, 2009 So sad, those poor kids and Big Col are in for a hell of a tough Christmas 'When they came, I gave her a final kiss and put the lid down. That was it for me. A part of me died at that moment.' Heartbreaking
rovgers Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 You might want to read this. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1237853/Colin-Hendry-reveals-darling-wife-didnt-die--medical-staff-failed-her.html No further comment required really. It certainly brings a lump to the throat. My feelings and thoughts go out to our 'Brave heart' at this very difficult time of year.
Hughesy Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Thats awful - stay strong big Col and try to enjoy some quality time with your family over Christmas.
Seedstral Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 I've just shed a tear or 2 well more to be honest that is truely a heartbreaking story. Its so sad to have to read about such stories my thoughts are with all his family!!
Mr. E Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Tragic...don't know what else to say. Wish him a lot of strength to get through this.
Iceman Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 My dad passed away last year, and after reading that, ive broken down in tears. All the best Big Col!
Stuart Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Really feel for Colin and his family especially at this time of year. He'll need a lot of support. Makes me so angry the more I read about the circumstances. This should never have happened. The NHS spokesperson's comments are so insensitive. RIP Denise
mellison24 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Braveheart: Too right. The family never have had to suffer like that. Bless you all x
Nate Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 My dad passed away last year, and after reading that, ive broken down in tears. All the best Big Col! Same with my father. I didn't realise how much it hurts when someone close to you passes way. All the best to the big fella.
ihtd Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Heartbraking He is such a nice guy, I wouldn't wish this sort of grief and tourment on my worst enemy. The NHS statement at the bottom has to be one of the most insensitive comments I have read in such circumstances.
Guest Kamy100 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Absolutely heartbreaking, I don't mind admitting that I just shed some tears reading that. Stay strong big man, although it won't bring back Denise, I hope that you get the justice that you and your family deserve. That NHS statement at the end of the article is a disgrace.
T4E Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 'I don't know if I did it properly. I don't know to this day if I did it properly, but there isn't a handbook for this. You just think you're doing the right thing and believe you're doing it for the right reason.' Colin Hendry did everything properly. Truly heartbreaking story. Hopefully we can all spend Xmas with our families having read this knowing how truly blessed we really are. RIP Denise.
philipl Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 That story is too painful to read right through at one go. Heart-breaking.
roversmum Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 What can you say? Tragedy. Thoughts and prayers to all who have lost a loved one and will be missing them at Christmas. God Bless xx
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 We were all very sorry for you loss Colin but will the comments 'medical staff failed her' help ease your pain?
T4E Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 That story is too painful to read right through at one go. Heart-breaking. Agreed Philip, took me two goes at it as well.
Roaming Rover Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 What can you say? Tragedy. Thoughts and prayers to all who have lost a loved one and will be missing them at Christmas. God Bless xx Agreed Mum. Christmas will never be the same for many due to the loss of a loved one. Thoughts also to Tony Parkes and family over Christmas.
Moppy Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 RIP Denise: My thoughts go out to you and your family Col
RovertheHill Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Very difficult to read - a tragic story - I hope Col knows that plenty of people on here are thinking of him. No need for the disgracefully insensitive comments from the NHS spokesman - appalling
Backroom DE. Posted December 23, 2009 Backroom Posted December 23, 2009 What a terrible situation to be in. Reading that makes me glad big Col didn't go into the jungle as was speculated, it's far too soon after something as harrowing as that. Best wishes to the big man.
FourLaneBlue Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 I couldn't read it all through. Tragic story and how much bad luck can one lady have?
Blue n White Rover Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 So sad to read, wish him all the best through this rough time. All our thoughts are with you and may Denise RIP. I'm sure I speak for everyone
Muddboy Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Blimey, I didn't know half of those things had happened to poor Denise and Colin. I hope Colin and his family get the justice they deserve. It won't bring Denise back, but they have to fight for the truth. Life can be mighty cruel sometimes and I hope and pray that Colin and his kids find strength from somewhere. Nobody deserves to suffer like they have. God bless them all.
Majiball Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Having spent the majority of this year being kicked out of hospitals whilst they tried their hardest to rob me of my mother, I can really relate to Colin's experiences. My heart goes out to you Colin, and I hope you get some sort of justice. RIP Denise.
