Fans won't buy tickets because they are sick to the teeth of seeing sh*te being played on the field i.e.no competing; not one or two games but most games this season.

The mood amongst fans at Ewood, around me anyway, is the lowest I've known for a good while.

Straight after Xmas on a week night, probably be freezing too, to watch awful football. Where is the appeal in that? I know it's a semi but I'm currently in 2 minds whether or not to bother. Add to that the fact it's on TV in a nice warm pub with decent ale on tap......

Simply untrue, yes we would have a bit more money but to suggest most of our problems stem from this when we have had the highest season ticket sales in years is ridiculous.

As someone already said I doubt it really makes that much difference in the grand scheme of things.

Simple fact of the matter - Jack's dream failed because of lack of support within Blackburn and surrounding areas. I don't want to get into a debate about demographics - and it isn't a slight on all those fans that turn up on a regular basis (or even those that turn up every now and then). The simple matter is we don't get enough people through the gates - and this will always hold us back. When we get 60k+ paying top prices we can expect football like Arsenal - otherwise we just need to grateful we are still holding our heads in the EPL. At some point we need to be realistic.

P.S. I agree that the mood in Ewood is particularly low at the moment - and the football is poor. But when many of our best players have been out injured and we end up playing KA in midfield what do you expect ? Due to work commitments I wasn't originally going on Tuesday - but after hearing of the current ticket sales I will now make every effort to go - basically the club needs us - and we need to get behind it.

Lets be honest - the atmosphere at Ewood (with one or two exceptions) has hardly been rocking has it ? You could argue this is a reflection of the football - but I would point you at the Brittannia Stadium - Stoke hardly play sparkling football - as they showed at Ewood.

We are all in this together - for once lets all get behind the team and cheer them on. If we don't - when do you next think we will have an opportunity of going to Wembley again ? Don't get through this time - it will get just a little bit harder as we lose a potentially lucrative final and the exposure it brings.

One thing I have noticed this season more than any other is fans in the ground arguing amongst themselves, witnessed a few almost come to blows this season

Just seen the highlights, no excuse whatsoever for Diouf, then he had the temerity to argue aqbout it, he'll be quite lucky if the FA don't charge him in addition with failing to leave the play as Robbie Earle and Andy Townsend mentioned on ITV. The main thing is it was so completely pointless - the Villa player wasn't going anywhere in that position. He's a smashing bloke off the pitch, what causes the red mist to descend like that?

Whilst I'm not sure I would agree with Hughesey about Brown being able to prevent the Villa goals, his situation at Ewood puzzles me. He doesn't play for the first team, and he doesn't play for the reserves (Frank Fielding getting the nod). When does he ever get any playing time?

I'm not at all impressed with Fielding either from what I've seen. There was another lad who played in one of the reserve games behind Fielding in the pecking order who I thought looked very good though. Keen? Or something like that?

well I'm afraid you will get a debate.

We have anything but a lack of support in Blackburn and the surrounds, our problem is that these areas are FAR too small to support a top Premier League side.

Come on Hughesy you are one of his staunchest defenders, you'd see positives in a 10-0 loss it seems.

I'd say we are better off than last season for sure but with hindsight Sam may have been best left as a short term appointment. As it stands now I'd stick with him but given the chance I'd take Coyle in an instant.

I think we'll stay up this season but I think most would have kept us afloat this season including possibly Ince due to the poor standard of the league. This is not at all diminishing his work last season as his impact was superb.

For a fan this season bar one or two games has been dreadful viewing and we have become what many said we would.

One thing is for sure, the board have to back him to the fullest extent or make a change in summer.

Take Coyle in an instant how deluded are you we've a proven manager at this level who kept us up last season against all odds and with a bit of luck we'd have more points on the board than we already have. Yet you want a manager who is unproven at this level and has seen his side get results on what was the crest of a wave from last season. Now they are being found out they have no answer yet you want him as the new man at the helm. If the sories are true if he was to leave to go to Bolton theres a £4 milion figure compensation to be paid (like we could afford that) as well as paying off Sam and his backroom team. Fair enough its your opinion but as i've said before JW wont change anything no matter what so get behind the team and support them hopefully onto bigger and better things!!

Once again, i feel sorry for the Rovers fans who spent money to watch crap!

Well if your not happy theres a rumour going round that theres quality football being played just down the road i'm sure you'll be made most welcome!!

Well lets put the disappointment behind us.

No one really expected us to win, less so with the line-up we put out. It means Tuesdays game is more important than we even thought it was in the eyes of the management and team.

Its about priorities, and when you are in a Cup semi-final against any team other than the Big Four, and struggling in the league, the second cup must take a back-seat. Its rational and logical, and anyone who has found an added love for the FA Cup must put it all in perspective. We are all angry at the way we went suicidal in the first half, but the response from us in the second half was decent.

Nooooooooo! It always saddens me to read other peoples' opinions that it is acceptable for 'professional' footballers who are paid astronomical amounts of money and who have the benefit of top class training facilities and coaching techniques to 'turn up' for less than 90 minutes at ANY time.

If it happened in my profession (teaching) there would be (and are) reviews, revisions to objectives, further assessment and ultimately replacement. So I would like the professionals at Blackburn Rovers to turn up for 100% of every game that they play, to observe some professional standards in their play and conduct on the field and to start providing better value for money - or do the decent thing and feck off to some other shoddy outfit. We are one of the founders of the modern game. We have a fine history, a decent future (if we pull our finger out) and a tradition to continue.

I pay to watch 90 mins. Not 45 'when we can be bothered to turn up'.

Rant mode off :)

What happened to Bunn? A better keeper than any of the current three.

To be honest mate I expected a win until I so the team selection.

I want Rovers to go out and try and win Every match whatever the occasion. That will bring in the crowds and the support that we are struggling with but with the way we are playing at the mo its very hard to do.

However - most of the problems we have don't stem from the manager - they stem from the fickle fans. 11K tickets so far for Villa Pt2 is unbelievably poor. And yet how many will be queuing for Wembley tickets ? More fans would mean more money - better players - and a better standard of football.

not according to the font of all knowledge ..hughsie.

You would be in the advert!

When you consider that their "second XI" cost over £60m to put together, compared to our £20m, it's perhaps not surprising that we lost.

Absolutely shocking tackle by Diouf though, how he could have the audacity to complain I will never know.

Well you bang on about losing fans because of Sam.

Lets say we are on course to sell 20,000 with Sam at say £15 average

OR if Sam wasnt here we would sell 25,000 at £15 - there is 75k difference, which is then split between the 2 clubs.

Not much of a difference in Premier league footballing terms...Fact not Fiction
