Tris Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 game off, ssn breaking news Confirmed by the club too.
67splitscreen Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I presume the away leg will now be played first.
Mike Graham Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Pathetic that it has taken so long to call.
Paul Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Surely if they are talking to the football league its only about re-arranging...so it should be off. The Carling Cup is organised by the Football League. I imagine clubs have to get permission from the FL to call the game off, Rovers can't just take a unilateral decision to cancel it has to be in conjunction with the FL, Villa, referee, etc.
Bobby G Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 The away leg will not be played first, although I would be happy with that cause we will end at home. Wont happen though.
PAFELL Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 you said its off....and you said i talk crap. The game is off .
dazmaz Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I presume the away leg will now be played first. should hopefully be played on the 15th. or so iv been told
LeChuck Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I presume the away leg will now be played first. Surely that's the only good thing about the situation? Always best to have your second leg at home!
den Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I presume the away leg will now be played first. No chance.
Bobby G Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 15th is a Friday so that wont happen. Will probably be the 14th which is a Thursday but hardly ideal for us. We are screwed all in all because of this. 3 games will come in very quick succession.
matts5 Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 should be able to sell a few more tickets know though!!
rog of the rovers Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 15th? Friday night? Doubtful. I would imagine next Weds/Thurs as we are playing City on Monday. Although if we do have it on Thursday then the Fulham game on the Saturday (16th) would have to be moved to the Sunday.
S15 Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Told you it was off...... You my friend are a sad little man, the kind people take the ###### out of on sketch shows and the like.
cloggyjimmybrfc Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 The game is off . 15th?...isnt that on a friday? anyway im glad as the safety issues must come first.
Hughesy Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Think thursday 14th was mentioned on here yesterday - although we would need to move our Fulham Home game too, as 2 days later isnt fair on us v Fulham.
67splitscreen Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Surely that's the only good thing about the situation? Always best to have your second leg at home! Not sure in this case, just being beat 3-1 at their place, IMO we needed the home leg first, a similar result this time and I can't see us coming back from it, still you never know Sam may have some reinforcements by then.
Hughesy Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 You my friend are a sad little man, the kind people take the ###### out of on sketch shows and the like. Awwww here he is again - like a little dog looking to score some points and get some treats....
