thenodrog Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I would say we've had about 8" since last night at home. 8? 4-5 at most Simon..... and thats fairly accurate cos I've had to walk through 2 miles of it!

Guest Kamy100 Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Sky Sports News report that the Ciy v Utd tomorrow is called off. Not surprised because it has been chaos in Manchester today, just got back, for once the trains are running well despite the weather conditions.
1864roverite Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 In the metropolis of Leyland we have had 3 inches of persistent snow in the past 3 hours, it just doesnt look like stopping any time soon. Having been disappointed at the postponement of the game I am pretty much glad in a way although it may well cost us with a few more games in a short space of time. For me the most logical of moves is to wait for the games second leg and play our game on that date. A second leg date can be found late jan or early Feb. Finally, as the drive is about to be swept of its snow, I cannot beleive that not one Rovers fan has been on here and blamed the club, Sam Allardyce, Keith Andrews or The Walkers for the cancellation of the game !!!
PAFELL Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I'm in London what's all this snow you speak of, I was wondering the same - I am near Hastings.
DanLad Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Fkkin Andrews! It's not so much the snow that's annoying, but Andrews pointing at the snow that is getting me riled...
PAFELL Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 According to SSN there's severe weather warnings for the South being issued with up to 40 cms snow possible in some places. It obviously doesn't matter ooop North but as soon as it starts moving South they panick!!! I would say we've had about 8" since last night at home. Panic - your joking - we just take the day off - or use it as an excuse. City & Mancs off tomorrow (apparently - so dont shoot the messenger) Your improving
Steve Moss Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Look at the bright side. The Rovers squad will be well rested for Monday's match against ManC. And assuming Sam brings in new players this window, he might have time to effectively integrate them into the team (depending on when the second leg is played) and get rid of some of the dead weight.
philipl Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 City v Mancs off article. City's computerised turnstiles have frozen solid and they cannot find a way of getting them working again!
Blue n White Rover Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 UNITED vs CITY IS OFF! The second leg, originally scheduled for Tuesday 19 January at Old Trafford, will now take place on Wednesday 27 January. As a result of this, the Barclays Premier League home game against Hull City (scheduled for 26 January) has been postponed. A new date for this fixture has yet to be decided. I'm presuming the same will happen with the Rovers game? EDIT: The Reds were due at Eastlands on Wednesday night, but heavy snow in the north west means the game has been rearranged to Tuesday 19 January
Plastic Head Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I just built a Keith Andrews snowman. It's pointing at an unmarked snowman near the Kilmarnock Willow.
Hasta Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I just built a Keith Andrews snowman. It's pointing at an unmarked snowman near the Kilmarnock Willow. lol. Yesterday I built an Owen Coyle snowman. It was there last night but gone today.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I built a Vince Grella snowman but as soon as I went inside it fell down.
bob fleming Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I've just built a Paul Robinson snowman. I threw a snow ball at it from 30 / 35 yards, just to it's right. It dived over it.
Presty On Tour Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Surely our games will be moved to the 20th and 26th of January?
Ricky Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I just went to build a Chris Samba snowman....... i ran out of snow

Ozz Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 For some reason my Benni McCarthy snowman just looked too big? Try making it a 7.00am tomorrow morning.
Blue n White Rover Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 My snowman spits snowballs...guess who?
DanLad Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 For some reason my Benni McCarthy snowman was just too big? I tried to move it, but it just refused. It'll probably shift quicker than the original, though? I hope you didn't build it in the middle of your garden...needs to be off't'side...
Hasta Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I used to enjoy building Steven Reid and Morten Gamst Pedersen snowmen but I've not seen a proper one for 3 years.
Presty On Tour Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 The next door neighbours just made a snowman lookalike of Coldplay musician Chris Martin. So then I took my time, oh what a thing to have done and it was all yellow!
