Those are the essential matches. At least 9 points, otherwise we're doomed.

Blimey, make or break time looking at those fixtures!!! Surely we're due at least a point at West Ham. Fed up with the amount of times I've been there and got nothing at all! We must win the home games at the very least.

I was told that 9000 had sold up until the morning of the day previous to the game, and that they hoped a big walk on, would boost it further..

I was booking a table in Corporate a couple of days ago for a different Rovers game and the Club informed me (without asking) that they sold 16,000k in total of which 5k were to Villa....very disapointing was the comment.

and some of this is offset by people how can't attend the rearranged fixture.

.....such as me, I will be at Drax in Yarkshire that evening.

Sounds about right, a lot of potential walk ons wouldn't have bothered in the last day or so given the bad weather.

Probably would have been looking at 18-20k.

Not that great but then neither has our form been.

Me and me dad won't be able to make the rearranged game... shame, but there you go! Having said that the tickets have been passed on to other family members, but hopefully we aren't the norm, and it'll be an alright turn out on the day.

I tend to be thinking along the same lines Ossy D.

The weather forecast is horrible especially around the Midlands and with cold biting winds expected throughout England it doesnt bode well.

I am pretty certain that I read somewhere an article about undersoil heating and that it doesnt work properly once the temp reaches -7. This is one reason why Wigons failed as the temp reached -10 apparently and the system didnt work correctly.

I dont see the game going ahead and wonder how and when this game can be played if it is cancelled due to the weather.

With some very difficult and must win/must not lose games on the horizon Rovers could be swamped with a series of 3 games per week that would simply swamp a club of our size if we sustain any more injuries.

If we have to rearrange our postponed first leg for this week why the bloody hell don't City and ManUre?

Apparently the Red Scum are off on a training/commercial jolly to the Far East next week!

:angry2:

Money talks mate, plus Man Yoo probably upped their usual back hander to the F.A.

Us & Villa agreed to this week, they choose the week after - whats the problem?!

I don't understand all this whimpering about "horrible" weather and forecasts. It's thawing rapidly where I am and the forecast is for daytime temperatures consistently well above freezing all week. This has become a nation of utter wimps and skivers - not to mention 'elf and safety wallahs. If people don't think they can get to match - stay at home. The clubs want to play the matches - let them. I'm totally with Wenger's comments - on the lines above but a bit more tactful.

allan, not sure where you are but it's still trying to snow, on and off, in Blackburn, and it's been 1 degree maximum since last Monday.

Whilst safety is important, the real problem is not the players or the fans (in general), the problem stems from our litigation culture that we now have. Companies and organisations are so terrified of being sued for negligence that they have become ultra-cautious to the point of paranoia.

I mean, how crazy is it that people are advised not to clear the snow from the footpath outside their house because they would be liable if someone was to slip.

It doesn't help though when the ambulance chasing solicitors continue to advertise on TV for people who have had an accident that 'wasn't their fault' to come forward and put a claim in for money 'they are entitled to'.

If people took more responsibility for their own actions instead of looking for someone else to blame, then we wouldn't have half these issues.

There's been something of a slight thaw today, small temperature rise but noticeable and warmer than forecast. The five day forecast has moved from being pretty grim to snow / sleet and max of 1C and min -3C. The snow forecast for tonight is actuallt falling much closer to rain at the moment.

Before tonights "performance" I was debating weather to make the 10 minute walk to the pub to watch us v Villa. I've decided what to do now.

Thinking along the same lines myself, haven't felt this disgruntled about going to Ewood for years.

At least I know the barstaff will put some effort in on Thursday.
