Bolton are bigger, more experienced and better - they will show that to be the case with the Dingles too.

You dont let your manager talk before compo has been agreed - thats just a noose for your own neck.

Coyle will go - and the compo will not be paid at £3.6m.

I leave that to the experts.

If you want the details and the timings of what has happened so far the Mirror newspaper is only 45p.

Nicko respond to my PM if you could mate

Moving on to the pigs feet.....

Notlob might be purring like the cat that got the cream should they swat tiny Burnley aside and succeed in nicking Owen Coyle but beware trotters..........

1. People continually level the accusation with a certain amount of justification too that Allardyce is struggling at Ewood to get a squad of players who prefer a passing game to play something called 'hoofball'.

2. Little Sam tried the opposite. He inherited a squad of lummoxes and tried to get em to play it on the floor. A dramatic and spectacular failure.

3. Megson rescued the Trotters and saved em from certain relegation by reverting to what they were good at. Rough and tumple, ugly in your face, up and under to find Davies's head stuff. It worked of course and saved em from the championship oblivion but no bgugger thanked him for it and no bgugger liked him much either.

but beware you Manchester overspill

4. Coyle is known for playing expansive flowing football too! This might easily end in tears come May!

I always suspected that you were a know-nowt, thenodrog. Thanks for confirming it with this post. To combine so many fallacies, half-truths and red top garbage into one post shows a rare skill. Respect! ;)

Be an 'interesting' few months for you Zulu. Time will tell. Rem All that glisters is not gold.

I must say you might be right. I freely admit that I was wrong about Hughes but I was spot an about Ince and Allardyce. I guess that puts the odds in my favour. I might lose face whilst you lot might tail spin to football oblivion. Oh well... I can live with losing face. ^_^

Be aware Zulu Kevin Gallaghers column in Tuesdays LT contains exactly the same warning. Apart from sticking Gardner back to the left wing I'm not sure that you have the players to play his type of football and they will not be able to adapt overnight.

Anyway it's not my problem. :P

Just a little note re: Burnley not being able to cope with the snow.

I've been told from various people that the club intend to drag their feet and do their best to get the Stoke game called off. The Burnley players have missed 3 days training in a row so they want to give Davis some extra time to get them back up to speed.

Pretty sure the PL would be annoyed if they knew, but who cares?

Surely that isn't the Premier League's or Stokes problem? There's no way the game can be called off for those reasons.

You seem to be missing the point. Burnley are (allegedly) intentionally getting a game called off so that they have can play the game at a later date and at a time when they should have more of an advantage. It 's not fair on Stoke and it's possibly against some Premier League rule as they shouldn't be able to manipulate officials into calling a game off because they happen to be weakened.

As to what they are meant to actually be doing - the answer is nothing. I would guess leaving the snow/ice around conveniently will suffice, but they could do something else as Hughesy suggests.

Arsenal got their game with Bolton off on the technicality that 'they might not be able to get enough stewards to the ground' to look after all the fans.....Wenger just wanted the same week off as Man United.

The snow storm that hit London at 3pm yesterday was not exactly a technicality- I was trying to drive in it!

45p! I want the money in the bank ;) Thanks to the Mirror online and Rob Burnett we don't need to pay (Thanks for the link).

Have the bookies closed the books on it or do we still have odds?

Betfair is the best place to catch the market.

I'm surprised one chairman didn't seek the permission of the chairman at the other club to 'have a chat' - well I say surprised, actually after all I have heard recently about some of the leading protagonists I am not at all surprised.

As suspected the 24 hour delay was over compensation - an argument that is still rumbling on.

I have a very strange feeling that Nicko will be the last person to hear about who we want to replace him - unless he is also close to that manager of course.

Or that managers agent/representative. Or the chairman at the managers current club. Or a player or two at that club. Or their agents.

I suspect the network of sources goes slightly deeper than just getting info off your bezzies.

Good point. Bert is a model professional. Since he's been with us he's not rocked the boat or put himself in the shop window. He's just got his head down and worked hard.

Yes, but don't forget that until his reinvention, most of us would have gladly given him away. Part of his loyalty could be down to the fact that nobody at the time better than us would have really wanted him. Every player has his price and there's no loyalty in real terms from any player. Some players will tell you their best times and memories are with a particular club but they'd still go at the drop of a hat if something "better" was on offer.

It'll be a sad day when he leaves. He'll be my next 'legend' shirt to be framed. (I have Friedel and Tugay shirts framed on my wall and I've decided to do that with every player I consider to be a Rovers legend in the future, Dunn and Emerton will be the next two).

While he isn't the BEST, he is a very effective and versatile player and very much an unsung hero.
