Enough already.

Who is backing Sean O'Driscoll for the Burnley job?

This is becoming a bit too bizarre.

Not in this window.

i think Bryan O' Driscoll would do a great job at the Dingle Dome ;)

Ah, the press...

Bolton make a move for Owen Coyle.

Owen Coyle wants to go to Bolton.

But it's all the fault of the press.

Now, I understand.

Dont understand how the press have been blamed for this either. If Burnley gave Notlob permission to speak to Coyle, then whats the problem? Then again, its all your fault Mr Nixon ;)

Philip don't post such tosh, you know nothing of the sort.

The opinion from the LMA barrister was exactly that. There are two sides to every legal dispute.

However had there been a protracted legal battle, both sides could have been without a manager for a lengthy period and I presume both sides would have wanted to settle asap.

Yes you have just repeated what I wrote. You do write some tosh sometimes Rev!

That Sun article has to be the best piece of news this decade!!! It seems the dingles have actually sounded MK Dons out- Waterman and his crew must be quietly ecstatic about this one as must the other 19 clubs in the Prem.

On the Ince thing, I have no idea whether there is any truth in it by the way, I know he had a torrid time with you guys but what were the main issues, his signings? Tactics? Was he genuinely a useless manager or was he just the wrong choice for you at the time?

He was brilliant and should be snapped up by your good selves as soon as possible... ;)

If the Ince link is genuine - bye bye Andrews and Rovers would even get some money for him.

Listen to one, just one, of his interviews and you'll get the gist.

The guy's just a complete idiot with the IQ of a 4 year old.

Martin Dobson in temporary charge at Burnley. Is that the same Martin Dobson that got sacked by Bury for talking to another club whilst under contract? Surely not. Burnley aren't the sort of club to get involved with somebody like that, are they?

Brilliant manager. Haven't you heard.... We only sacked him cos he is black! Shot ourselves in the foot good and proper. You should start a Facebook 'Incy for't turf' campaign. I'm sure that you will get lots and lots of signatures in support. ^_^

He had no idea of the calibre of player needed to play in the Prem. He was happy to allow Bentley and Friedel leave, while he was also convinced before he arrived that Robbie Fowler and Keith Andrews were good enough for this league and Paul Robinson was a better bet than Brad.

Tactically he approached every game exactly the same way. His coaches, in particular Matthias and Archie Knox were from the dark ages. The players were reputedly fed up of press ups. Matthias could understand our players wanting to better themselves and move to a club that had never [well hardly ever] finished above us in the Prem and thought it reasonable to allow them to move.

He gave up completely with the games against the top four clubs, concentrating on the games against the lower teams - which we then proceded to lose as well.

He wasn't interested in taking his coaching badges because he apparently thought that he was above that kind of thing.

He consistently talked about lack of funds as the sole reason for the teams results under him. A team, by the way, who had finished 7th the season before.

Other than that, I had no problems at all with him. I reckon he'll do well for you guys Longsider.

He was awful.....did you see his great plan at West Ham? 'Shoot' was his tactic.....

Most of his signings were championship quality (Villanueva, Simpson, Andrews)

Useless - HOWEVER I would fully recommend him to Burnley FC.

thinking about it some of his tactics wernt to bad but alot of the time he used the wrong formations ect for the wrong clubs ( if that even makes sense). honestly transfer minded he was all up there i think he was interested in some good players ( dont worry iv not forgot about super keith ) ^_^ and i think 10-15 mill to spend he would make some interesting signings but its just finding someone who is going to give him that. although saying that he would be no good trying to find young up and coming players with only a limited budget like dingles, us :/

but in general at the moment he is a poor manager, maybe in time and with experience he might improve , everyone has to start somewhere.... seeing as its burnley were talking about then he should be signed up tommorow if you want to stay in this league :P;)

Amusing press conference at the Reebok.

OC says in The Sunday People yesterday that the previous Sunday was the first time he had spoken to Phil Gartside since 1995.

Gartside this morning couldn't remember whether it was Wednesday, Friday or Saturday that he met OC. No mention of Sunday. He also just happened to be in the Director's box at Wembley to support a man he hadn't met for 14 years.

I am sure this has already been said but there are some threads that you just need to add your comments to for the sake of posterity.

I am bitterly dissapointed for Burnley in particular and for Football and humanity in general that Coyle is leaving Burnley for Bolton. Whilst you know deep down that it is somewhat unfounded, you always hope that there is some loyalty between a club and its manager. I never mind a manager moving club to better himself - like Alladyce to Newcastle or Hughes to City, but to leave a mid table club that you have gained promotion with in their first season for a club in the bottom 3 is so venal. Unless I have missed something like Bolton being the club that he always supported as a boy, I think that this is very poor. Burnley fans must feel devastated and betrayed.
