insiderover79 Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Nickos settings for PM`s must be disabled maybe.
Hughesy Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 A couple of deals set up and not tied up. Who else apart from Meriem? What sort of investment is Sam likely to get? £5m?
ABBEY Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Who else apart from Meriem? What sort of investment is Sam likely to get? £5m? ask dunny.
nicko Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Who else apart from Meriem? What sort of investment is Sam likely to get? £5m? Linganzi should have been done by now but nothing official. No idea on investment size, but it would be a good idea. The Trustees should see the point in putting money in and getting a return if the player is right....or hopefully players are right.
S15 Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Wait a minute, so by going on a marathon losing run Sam has forced the bored to do what even Hughes couldn't and get the trustees to put some decent investment into the team? And to think, some of you lot didn't believe he was the messiah.
Backroom Tom Posted January 17, 2010 Backroom Posted January 17, 2010 Wait a minute, so by going on a marathon losing run Sam has forced the bored to do what even Hughes couldn't and get the trustees to put some decent investment into the team? And to think, some of you lot didn't believe he was the messiah. He's not the messiah he's a very chunky boy!
Tom 1 Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 The smalling one is interesting, if he is as special as people think then am sure many would agree Arsenal could win the league, the biggest risk for them was one of Gallas or Vermaelen being injured, if they have Campbell and this boy in reserve for such an occassion they look good. Shame MON didn't look at him with his british fetish, good for Arsenal tho.
paulyrover Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Nicko, What is the latest on Holliet and his new contract? Is he likely to stay. And what about Merium? Has he actually signed?
saxo1man30 Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 sam - “All of a sudden there was a massive turnaround in terms of pressure because one little man writes something about my job not being safe` whoever could he mean?
Dan Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 sam - “All of a sudden there was a massive turnaround in terms of pressure because one little man writes something about my job not being safe` whoever could he mean? Well, that 'little man' managed to make Sam get his act together on Sunday, so he can't be too bad huh?
Bobby G Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I think we all know that there is NO SMOKE WITHOUT FIRE. Allardyce shouldn't be talking too soon either. The problem I have with him is the moment we win, he turns "vindictive" and arrogant. He did it with the "expert" comment about us too and we saw what happened next. I want him to succeed but that's only cause I want us to move up the table and play at Wembley.

I want him to succeed but that's only cause I want us to move up the table and play at Wembley. I think, like many people in football, you get carried away with things, especially after such a barren spell, the hope is that those bits of luck which have deserted us at times this year, will give Rovers a bit more rub of the green!! Sam is a big Character and like SAF, he can be quire arrogant at times! Having said that, 10 games without a win would put pressure on any manager, you dont need a journalist to do that, all Nicko was doing was reporting what in my mind would have been obvious and I am sure a loss against Fulham would have given the board some serious considerations!!
Manc Rover Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Sam's on talksh*te radio at the moment talking about last week etc - Saying "some unscrupulous person" is to blame for all of this and wants to take down Blackburn Rovers. Wonder who he means? Also talking up our youngsters - a lot more positive than last week thats for sure!
Bobby G Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 If it takes a sacrificial lamb (nicko) to get things at our club going again, then ...
roversmum Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Talking about himself again? If he wants to 'blame' anyone he needs to start right there.
Majiball Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 you need to add that he said he didn't blame the young lad who wrote it as apparently someone asked him to write it and Sam knows who it was. You might want to add that Sam has discovered a new word "we" he's used it quiet often as well.
thenodrog Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Hahahaha...Who asked him to write it? Waggy? hmmm 'little man'. waggy or Gav must be favourite .......... certainly lets Abbey off the hook.
Bobby G Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 No the little man is possibly the writer, but there is a mysterious man in the dark shadow who is the brains behind the whole thing! Im curious to see what nicko's "gloves off" comment will result in.
Guest Kamy100 Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I think that Sam is referring to someone within the club who leaked the story, someone working against him. hmmmmmmm wonder who that could be
thenodrog Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 No the little man is possibly the writer, but there is a mysterious man in the dark shadow who is the brains behind the whole thing! Im curious to see what nicko's "gloves off" comment will result in. Hmmmm..... We all know that nicko always has to have the last word. He is a clever man, isn't an up front kind of guy but one who prefers to work in anonimity from the shadows. A sniper. He can be conniving and manipulative and as we see regularly a Pied Piper to the impressionable. He is an individual who can play the game with a long head and will be a dangerous and vindictive opponent. A man who always has to be right.... even when he is wrong. Sam is an Alpha male. He will prefer to lead directly from the front and will not blink first in a face off. Much more aggressive with strong connections. He is currently threatening Nicko's livlihood and reputation... just as Nicko was threatening Sams previously. As AN said it's gloves off. Be fun if it was happening at our neighbours but imo before it gets too messy and damages BRFC as a club John Williams might see sense in stepping in and pouring oil on troubled waters........ if that doesn't work then he needs to bang a few heads together. I think that Sam is referring to someone within the club who leaked the story, someone working against him. hmmmmmmm wonder who that could be Kamy for the first time ever you appear to have some juicy insider knowledge...... and you are rapidly turning into Alan Nixon! Publish and be damned..... I dare you!
