Guest Kamy100 Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 [quote name='thenodrog' date='18 Kamy for the first time ever you appear to have some juicy insider knowledge...... and you are rapidly turning into Alan Nixon! Publish and be damned..... I dare you! Very clever TNR, but not a chance, it will cost someone their livelihood. For at least a year I have stopped myself posting little bits I know/have heard, in a moment of weakness posted it and now regret it. It is all irrelvent now because Sam has not got sacked and Rovers won last yesterday (which is the most important thing).

Hughesy Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Yesterday was a very big win in terms of our manager - I think he has bought himself abit more time now. Unless we colapse against Vila & Wigan and then the pressure will be back on....
thenodrog Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Unless we colapse against Vila & Wigan and then the pressure will be back on.... Tough call. Wigan are just about the most unpredictable team in the Prem.
Hughesy Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Tough call. Wigan are just about the most unpredictable team in the Prem. True - although I think Wigan will come set-up to try and get a draw. We have to go 4-4-2 against them and attack them. Villa on Wednesday this week, we have nothing to lose & therefore we should just go for it! Early goal and who knows what will happen, even if it goes to Penalties.
broadsword Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Very clever TNR, but not a chance, it will cost someone their livelihood. I wouldn't worry about Dunny, he'll find a new club in the Summer
thenodrog Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I wouldn't worry about Dunny, he'll find a new club in the Summer Ahh so thats it.... Kamy's pm'd you I presume?
broadsword Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Nothing more than a joke after Hughesy said that Dunny had told him x,y and z ...
Hughesy Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Nothing more than a joke after Hughesy said that Dunny had told him x,y and z ... Very good For the record - Dunn wants to stay & sign a new contract......however he wants someone to leave! That might not happen - so its then up to Dunn to decide!
67splitscreen Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Very good For the record - Dunn wants to stay & sign a new contract......however he wants someone to leave! That might not happen - so its then up to Dunn to decide! Concurred. more than one have heard the whispers then.
jonv Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 can we stop with the constant bullshit about whose said what about who and when and how and blah blah blah. we need to concentrate on moving this club forward, despite some of your absolute hate for sam, you can't see the board ridding upon him come the end of january, and by the looks of things he'll still be around by then.
S15 Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 So now Dunn in his illustrious career had fallen out with Graeme Souness, Steve Bruce and Sam Allardyce. My opinion on the manager remains, but David Dunn perhaps should start coming under scrutiny at some point?
American Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 No the little man is possibly the writer, but there is a mysterious man in the dark shadow who is the brains behind the whole thing! I blame Grooby! (and that is just a joke - he's a loyal employee) Dunn seems to shoot his mouth off way too often between what I see on here and hear elsewhere. Play a full season then MAYBE you'll live up to your sense of self-worth, David. Souness was right about you - shame you didn't listen, as you played your best football under him.

My opinion on the manager remains, but David Dunn perhaps should start coming under scrutiny at some point? Dunn being a Rovers fan is probably just ###### off, like most of us were pre-yesterdays result at the constant negative football that he has to adhere too. I bet his family aren't going to renew their season tickets and he's annoyed
Backroom Tom Posted January 18, 2010 Backroom Posted January 18, 2010 Well, that 'little man' managed to make Sam get his act together on Sunday, so he can't be too bad huh? Joking surely? Are we now saying Nicko is to thank for us winning on Sunday? If you want to thank any outside party I'd thank Souness' old friend lady luck.
Guest andrewpickup Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 maybe dunn should just sign up or shut up, he believes his own hype too much. perhaps he should try staying fit for a full season and not just dining off a couple of decent performances. there is a trend with his manager fall outs. there isnt much between his ears. Perhaps he is a disgruntled fan , he does come across like a blackburn ender

Amo Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 If Dunn wants a new deal it should be on an appearance bonus scheme. The wage bill has been suckling our transfer fund for too long now, we can't afford to keep players like Dunn, Reid and Grella in luxury when their contributions are so sporadic.
ABBEY Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 hmmm 'little man'. waggy or Gav must be favourite .......... certainly lets Abbey off the hook. Very good For the record - Dunn wants to stay & sign a new contract......however he wants someone to leave! That might not happen - so its then up to Dunn to decide! here we go again.
Stuart Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I wouldn't worry about Dunny, he'll find a new club in the Summer I went there first. Then I wondered if there was anyone else on the playing staff who might have an axe to grind with Sam...
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Very good For the record - Dunn wants to stay & sign a new contract......however he wants someone to leave! That might not happen - so its then up to Dunn to decide! A bit harsh - first the crowd boo poor Keith - and then a team mate refuses to sign a contract while he is at the club
Hughesy Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 If Dunn wants a new deal it should be on an appearance bonus scheme. The wage bill has been suckling our transfer fund for too long now, we can't afford to keep players like Dunn, Reid and Grella in luxury when their contributions are so sporadic. Spot on. I think that will be very much Sam's arguement too - he had alot of players at Bolton who had contracts which were very performance based. Reid, MGP, Dunn, Emerton, Grella & Roberts should all be on that sort of agreement!
LeChuck Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Funny isn't it...he managed to keep plenty of egos happy at Bolton, yet suddenly he's meant to be falling out with everyone? To be honest I don't believe a word of it. Didn't Salgado say he heard good things from ex-Real team mates Hierro and Campo? He seemed to have no problem with Anelka etc too. If Dunn does have a problem then I'm pretty sure I know where the blame lies given who has previous.
broadsword Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I went there first. Then I wondered if there was anyone else on the playing staff who might have an axe to grind with Sam... Et tu, Dioufus?
Hughesy Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Et tu, Dioufus? Could be a number of players - plenty unsettled like Roberts
Stuart Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Et tu, Dioufus? I supposed it's possible Dioufy could play Marc Anthony to Sam's Julius. But I was thinking more about someone who Sam might have publicly humiliated recently. Pure speculation of course! Having said that, I'm sure Nicko is a lot of things but I don't believe he's anyones stooge. Well, he probably does a bit of spinning for Owen now and again but I suspect that's more out of friendship than anything else.
