Nicko, or is it Mrs Owen Coyle now, Heh Heh. I know there is a Hoilett thread, but thought I'd ask here before anyone bitch slaps me for posting in the wrong spot. Anyways, Mr Nicko, any news on Hoiletts contract. I was hoping he only wanted to go because he was not playing, now he is (some) I was wondering if he's changed his mind.

The good news is that he has not signed a pre-contract with any of the German cubs after him yet.

I think he is planning to run down his contract and see what happens in the summer.

From his point of view that is probably a wise move.

Rovers have offered him a very good deal, to be fair.

Its been the quietest quiet transfer window hasn't it? Anyone know what's happening with Bentley? I thought he would have been the first off. Liverpool could do with him but all I've read is a link with Sunderland that seems to have died.

People are right the window is going nowhere. I'm down right shocked Chlesea haven't moved for Aguero, yet.

Guess this is what happens when the money dries up in our league, which is quiet some achievement given how much they get each year.

Nicko I don't suppose you know why he hasn't signed? I would have thought that playing premiership football would be about the best standard he would get offered? Or is their another British club interested, hence waiting till the summer?

Oh well at least he hasn't signed anything so there must still be hope.

1 - there's not much money around, those who have it are unattractive [stoke, Birmingham and Sunderland].

2 - there has been a lot of managerial upheaval and uncertainty.

3 - the weather has been garbage, messing up several trials that could have led to deals.

1 - there's not much money around, those who have it are unattractive [stoke, Birmingham and Sunderland].

2 - there has been a lot of managerial upheaval and uncertainty.

3 - the weather has been garbage, messing up several trials that could have led to deals.

Also Rovers have no money to spend as nobody has been sold - or is there changes on that front?

Lets hope Chelsea don't sign anyone!..The thought of Carlo running around naked at Chelsea's training ground is a bit too much to take.

Clubs like United, Liverpool, Arsenal really do need to look at progressing with 1 or 2 signings - City are still making moves and they are getting closer and closer to the top teams.....the others need to try and stay ahead of them.

How will the ofcom probe affect Sky & the future purchasing of premier league rights? Surely if they have to charge much les then they will not offer as much cash for the rights in future!? :blink:

Nicko, portuguese newspaper "O Jogo" refers that Blackburn are interested in Belhadj from Portsmouth.

Any truth in this?

The article is about Benfica's interest in him and mentions Tottenham as another interest team.

Our interest in him has been reported before and believe Nicko confirmed this - having no money to buy him might pose a problem though....

Portsmouth are trying to get rid. Rovers were interested a few weeks ago in taking him on the cheap...Pompey think they can get £3 million from Benfica. Spurs are keeping an eye on it too among about twelve potential targets.

It must be easier to write baout who Spurs are not interested in rather than who they are. The sad thing is, lots of the players linked actually go there thinking this is their big chance and go backwards.

I remember the article but I was told quite different to that.

They must be very confident about over-turning the transfer ban.
