Your fault for living in these exotic places Accrington v Phuket. No choice really :)

Thats a tough choice tbh mrs G. ;)

There will be an 11 o'clocker.

A little development or two...

Eguren and Basturk in, Andrews and Diouf out? Roberts out and Eidur in? Meriem and Linganzi to sign after all? Beattie for Roberts?

Posted

Basturk use to be a decent player.....Havent seen him for a couple years, makes you wonder why he hasnt played more!

I do like the sound of the Uruguyan guy though! I have been told Sams inquired about Boro's Johnson, For us to get him he must be out of contract soon, surely?

I'm guessing these developments may be some interest in one or two of our players. If the manager is speaking the truth that we need to sell before we can buy then there needs to be some sign of outgoings before we can make a purchase or two.

Really? well after 36 years of standing/sitting in the stands and 2 years of only being able to watch it on tv I'd disagree with you totally. To paraphrase BFS "watching 22 pairs of socks doesn't give you a true sense of what's happening"

Suit yourself otto but you are wrong. :tu:

This topics meandering about but re: the Benny / Beattie debate. Could anybody who does not watch the match live and from the stands please realise that you are not in aposition to judge properly and just stfu!

You get very little idea of a players worth / performance / ability or influence from a TV screen never mind a 15" laptop.

Total tosh. Both modes of viewing have their advantages and disadvantages, and I welcome the opinions of anybody who has SEEN the whole game, irrespective of how they did it. As long as they can see the players and what they are doing, they get an opinion. To seriously suggest that only two thousand fans have a right to comment on the Villa away game is just ludicrous.

When is transfer deadline day? 31st Jan or 1st Feb?

Doesn't it finish a few days into February now?

I would guess this year it will be the 1st february. It should be 31st Jan, unless it falls on a weekend when they always seem to move it. Cos fax machines and the like mustn't work on weekends.

Claire I remember, how that fax machine was not working when Roy Keane was about to sign.

Is Judge still on loan? I would like to see this guy given chance. Olsson has really made difference after finally getting his chance. Judge could be another unused talent.

I think judge will get his chance next season (along with Doran). It's my opinion that Sam plans to sell some of the deadwood. Doran in Diouf's place and Judge in Andrews' place wouldn't go amiss.

Though I never heard that Judge's loan was extended it obviously was as he is still at Plymouth. I saw something recentish from Sam saying Doran hadn't come on as he had hoped this year.

robinho on loan till seasons end

We have super keef, why would we possibly want Robininho :brfcsmilie:

Doran and Judge would also go a long way to fullfilling the home grown quota necessary for next season.

Yep, possible, not sure if they are going to premiership quality that will improve us though - i remember seeing Doran, judge and olson for the reserves quite a bit, and Olson always stood out, his touch and ideas on the pitch seemed more advanced. Hopefully by Sam`s comments on Doran, he will have challenged the lad to improve and work harder and prove him wrong !

News tonight - West Ham upped their offer, Rovers matched the bid made for Beattie by one of the other teams - thats my guess at the 11 O`clocker !

Later news: Blackburn and other local hospitals overrun with suicide attempts.

Its now 1am in Phuket, no sleep tonight again.

I envy you being in the far east - I go to Pennang every two years for a month - sometime singapore. I love it out there.

Nicko said a development or two - could be anything, not even rovers related or transfer related.
