RibbleValleyRover Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Reidy off super Keith on. Reidy's first start in the premier league for 18 months according to the commentators before the game and hasn't done too badly. Need another goal here to put this game to bed.

deftangel Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 All this needs is a Kallinic goal but we seem unable to make a single chance for him. Fulham are a decent team but poor away from home. I'll take three points anyway we can get them but this isn't a dramatic improvement by any means.
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Going to be a nervous 15 mins, sound like a broken record here but we are so deep...
Amo Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Typical Robinson. Comes flapping under no pressure.
adopted scouser Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 More comedy goalkeeping from Robinson
John Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Robinson looking commanding on the high ball yet again.....
SamTheShrew Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 samba is lucky to still be on the pitch - this is going to be a long 15mins. luckily Andy Johnson is having a shocker
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Robbo made a great save earlier so he hasn't had the worst game. Just inconsistent, as usual.
deftangel Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 At least Robinson went for that cross this time. Practice makes perfect.
SamTheShrew Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Benni is a class above the rest. he has to stay/start
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Disagree. I think Kalinic has outperformed him in every way, his first touch is sublime at times. Benni looks totally off form and keeps losing it.
Daremz Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 That was the best piece of skill/technique since Tugay played his last match at Ewood. What a control/turn by Niko. Now fire in that FK to seal it.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Speaking of Kalinic, that was brilliant! Trapped a Robinson ball right under his foot, swivelled and won us a free kick outside the box. He can be somebody.
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Disagree. I think Kalinic has outperformed him in every way, his first touch is sublime at times. Benni looks totally off form and keeps losing it. Just seen an example there, great control and turn by Niko.
BPF Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Disagree. I think Kalinic has outperformed him in every way, his first touch is sublime at times. Benni looks totally off form and keeps losing it. I would still rather 99% of our chances dropped to Mccarthy. Also hasn't he set two goals up today?
Daremz Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Benni is very important to us today. And Niko is too, working his socks off. Shame Junior overhit that pass...
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Hoilett overhits the pass, if it had been rolled in front of him Niko would have had a great chance to score his first league goal.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 From a scuffed corner and which Duff passed to Samba... Er, no. But the free kick was quality, yes. I'm just saying around the pitch, Niko is playing better. More energy, more desire, better control (today, at least), better vision, better runs and he hasn't lost it that I can recall.
ffan Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I hope we aren't getting a false positive from this because they are AWFUL We practically dominated alot of the game. Samba should have been sent off by now, Fulham should have had a penalty, Reid should have been booked for an awful challenge on Konchesky. But you've taken your chances, we haven't well done. The Croatian forward looks decent, perhaps a swap for Andy Johnson (please!)
G Somerset Rover Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Big big win this. It may not have been pretty but this was all about the win.
HemelRover Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I would still rather 99% of our chances dropped to Mccarthy. Also hasn't he set two goals up today? One of the goals was from a mishit corner though...cant exactly claim that as owt other than a fluke.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Salgado just charged through the entire midfield and smashed people off the ball. It looked like a Super Rob return for a moment.
RibbleValleyRover Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 We've been lucky and haven't performed that great but who cares, a win is a win. 3 points closer to survival and hopefully gives us a big boost going into our upcoming league games.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I'm not saying McCarthy is a bad player but his control today has been woeful. As I was writing, 92:23, he lost the simplest of balls and couldn't be arsed running to try and get it back!
