Never going to be a fans favourite and sadly he gets picked out more than anyone else. If any fans favourite mislays a pass or mistimes a challenge fans just tolerate it as though they are untouchable but for Keith hes liked a marked man not from the opposition but his own fans which i think is disgraceful. The bloke gives 100% every game but everyone wants to pick holes in his game because he was an Ince signing and came from MK Dons yet the manager who sees him train week in week out thinks he deserves a place on merit. Have you ever thought that now and then he panics knowing that a misplaced pass from him comes with howls of derision yet a team mate could make the same pass and its accepted. Your criticism of a BRFC player who tries his heart out week in week out in my opinion is uncalled for and unacceptable!! But hey like i'll change the sway of opinion (no i know i wont) but 1 day you might just think that instead of being critical from the 1st time he touches the ball to the last a bit of support might just build his confidence up a bit!! Yet again i doubt that will happen but i for 1 can only hope!!

Spot on.

He had a shocker last night. Nzonzi had a belter. Weirdly it was the other way around on Sunday. Did anyone go on about Nzonzi like that then? No. He's not the best, but he's far from the worst in this league. Support him for once.

Exactly lads well said the mob cannot wait to jump on his back when has a poor game. Dunn was is now King of Blackburn again despite being ###### on Sunday when Keith was a hell of a lot better.

Oh and as for why Emerton doesn't start of I think we saw why on Sunday.

Stop blaming Keef and start thinking. If effing GRELLA was ever fit 'our keef' would never start!

So he is a great utility reserve and about 9th in line for midfield...with usually 4 injured(Grella,Dunny,Reidy and 1 other) in front of him.

Sam has done wonders this season on youth and crocks.

I loved the way The Legend who is Keith gave Barry Ferguson a good wacking.

Also thought he broke up the play well a couple of times and had some decent balls forward. For those who is critizing him for playing the ball along the line at the end, IMO it was the best sollution to kick the ball forward - going out for a throw in Birminghams half instead of losing it in the middle of the park.

There is truth in that. Who gave the ball away in midfield in the last few seconds leading to their chance right at the end. Whoever that was should be getting slaughtered for not hoofing it into touch.

I've read a lot of people castigating Andrews for diving out of the way of the free kick. I've just seen the highlights. The free kick actually went a fair old distance past Andrews and, stood where he was or not, it would have gone in anyway. That side should have been the keepers. Brown was saying 'I couldn't see...'. It was a very well taken free kick being fair.

I too can only concur with this view.

What is it within the pysche of a fair number of Rovers fans who over the years feel compelled to have a pantomine villain, which barring his performances we would be world beaters in the Champions League?

Will people stop trying to defend the indefensible. Andrews is nothing more than a liability in a Rovers shirt.

Ihave tried to find a positive and the only one I can find is that I am positive that he is crap.

Effort for 90 minutes isnt good enough. He needs an output for his effort and there is clearly nothing of any substance showing an end result.

I would love him to score the winner at dingledome on Sunday I genuinely would endear myself a little bit more to him however, I dont see it. I see more calamatous play fromour resident number 17.

Andrews has made some very important interceptions in the last couple of games thus helping to earn valuable points for our club. Last night when he lost the ball he was straight back in to win it back on a few occasions.

I think a lot of fans wear blinkers, they don't want to see the good that he does only the bad. How on earth fans can be so negative of one of our own is beyond me. I'm not saying his a world beater by any means but he does not deserve the abuse hurled at him from our own fans.

I thought people would have got bored of resurrecting this thread after every game he plays in, but obviously not.

He did fine last night, he wasn't a star performer by any means but was better than Ferguson and Bowyer, which is all we needed last night.

i haven't read what others have said since i can't be bothered.

keith andrews had a poor game overall yesterday. did some good things but then some shocking things. seemed lackadaisical and his decision making wasn't great. however this is his first bad game in quite a while and he wasn't the only player to underperform yesterday. if you can't expect the odd dodgy performance from a squad player then i don't know who you can expect one from. he still has my full support as substitute who starts when we have injuries and suspensions.

Why is Sam Allyrdyce, Paul Ince, Giovanni Trapatoni and Roy Hodgson all quality managers and won some major trophies between them rate him so highly if he is bad as some of our fans make out?????

He is always fit, tries his heeart out, gives 110% if loses ball chasin back ASAP, very good at co ordinating other people, Please look at the record with and without him i think youl be surpirsed ;-)

I would keep him 100% good squad player for next year definately... :)

Keep it going Keith ignore the idiots on here and you make it in the Prem and for Ireland ;)

I have given him praise in the past - on Sunday against Chelsea for example - but I simply can't understand this. He was an utter liability in the second half yesterday - surrendered possesion 4 times, gave away four fouls and at fault for the goal. How does that equate to 'just fine'?

Nothing against him personally but just as he deserved to keep his place after Chelsea he needs to be dropped for the dingles.

Birmingham dominated midfield for long periods last night. At the heart of that was Barry Ferguson and I thought he played well LeChuck. He doesn't have the attacking side of the game admittedly, but sitting in front of the back four, retaining posession and bringing other players into the game - I thought he did well. Keith isn't capable of that.
