If standing around pointing is working hard and giving 100% then I could take his place in the team. I wonder how he trains, does he practice his pointing? Maybe when he retires from football he could become a traffic conductor?

High reps, with wrist weights on!

I'm surprised Andrews hasn't thrown more bottles with the amount of crap he puts up with. As soon as he does react after being pushed too far everyone suddenly acts like big babies.

Indeed, everybody in that ground today could see just how out of his depth he is.I don`t think anybody can rationally disagree with that statement, however, the level of abuse he has had to endure since he signed for Rovers is nothing short of embarassing.Rovers `fans` really need to take a hard look at themselves and ask is it really helping the team to produce positive results? Could you imagine what any prospective summer signings that may be sat in the stand would think?

If people don`t want Andrews in the team i can fully understand that, but lodge a protest after the game or write Big Sam a letter of protest or if it really floats your boat go on hunger strike to raise awareness on the issue,Either way i don`t give a s*it.But we really have to stop berating him on the pitch as it is clearly having an effect on the team and at the end of the day the TEAM matters the most rather than one individual player.

I just don't understand why he gets picked, his team-mates have never had confidence in him and always take the harder option even when he's the correct one. Personally I have no issues with yesterday long ball style as if I was playing in a team with Keith in midfield I too would by pass it, just in case he does get hold of it. Sam is a stubborn man and since I just cannot see what Keith brings to the table I'm beginning to believe Sam does it to ###### us off. But Keith does take a load of abuse, but despite that I cannot agree with his reaction yesterday. Keith in all effects assaulted one of our fans and if not for the coaching staff he'd be on the front page of every national paper and being banned for months.

Sam & JW, do the decent thing don't play him again and move him on in the summer, its best for rovers and best for Keith because it won't stop and he's obviously at breaking point.

Our first team hadnt got a game today and one of our young lads went to the game and came back, tears in his eyes asking, 'why he was released from a Prem cub at 16 years old'

he added that he had more in his locker at 16 than Keef has now!!

There must be hundreds of players thinking the same!!

Without getting all hissy about Keith-Simply put yesterday he was totally out of his depth.

Evertons midfield of Pienaar Arteta Cahill is not what Keith is used to at Macc, Wolves and MK Dons etc. He could not keep hold of the ball, and got rid of it aimlessly as soon as he got it, usually surrendering possession to the other side.

Just not good enough.

It makes me laugh that people are willing to cheer on a player who spits in peoples faces and cheats yet when they have a player who isn't quite good enough they're more than happy to shout abuse and boo him instead of showing support and encouragement which would probably help improve his game even by a little bit. Obviously it won't turn him into a class player but surely it's better giving him a confidence boost rather than the complete opposite. He does play for Rovers after all and surely it's best that all our players go into games in the right frame of mind.

Correct Bobby G. The game totally passed him by. He was so far off the pace it was unbeleivable. I think his kick on Neville was simply out of frustration. No doubt his attack on the fan was too (not reliable but I heard it was a woman he threw the bottle at.)

But ultimately it was Sam Allardyces fault. He picked him to play despite Grella being fit.

I already said it was a woman he hit with the bottle, he wasn't aiming at her but then again what should we expect!!

I was sat in that block yesterday and it was exactly as you've said, MB.

Here's what I saw: Julie got substituted and heard some "wag" in the crowd slag him off (I've no idea what was said). He threw his bottle at said "wag", hit a woman instead. Jason Brown and a couple of others prevented him doing a Cantona. He spent the rest of the game sat with Jason Brown and probably felt a right tit.

On the pitch he looked completely out of his depth as usual. Hopeless!

PS I wondered why I hadn't seen you, MB. I was a row behind what looked like your empty seat - hope you're feeling better soon.

Exactly, the team matters more, this lad is a proffessional footballer an International one at that, so why is he so bad, why doesnt he work on his skills after training and try and at least get closer to the standards required, for as you say the Team matters and he clearly is affecting the team with his non contribution.

I've often wondered does patently and blatantly mean the same or is it just a common mistake?

Shame he hit the woman yesterday but I don't blame him for having a go back at the guy having a go at him, you have a pop at someone you should expect them to have a pop back

He isn't good enough but I do feel sorry for him

I think it's about time 191 people went to Specsavers. He's patently not good enough at this level, and hasn't been since day one.

I really find it odd that some people rate him. I've never met one who does.

Nonsense. Every player in everty team would be assaulting supporters on a regular basis if that was to happen. Criticism is part and parcel of being a professional player.

Keith isn't up to our standard - period. Hopefully we all agree on that.

On current form Keith should only play if others are out injured. Hopefully we also agree on this.

Right that being said we get to the standalone issue of abuse.

He is abused terribly by his own club supporters. You probably have a bunch of 'good' reasons that make you feel he 'deserves' it - but no one deserves such abuse even verging on hatered especially from his home crowd. It's the mindset of the school yard bully, let's gang up on the little kid, he's to XXXXXXX (fill in the gap) so let's give him the kicking he deserves, he's asking for it. It's cowardly and many would only do it from behind the anonymity of their keyboard. One on one and to his face and the rent-a-knob in the crowd almost gets some payback, can't have that can we? All of a sudden the closet gang members come out en masse to say Keith was out of order. Get real.

I don't want Keith Andrews in our team right now, if he improves and/or gets some confidence in his game (fat chance with some of you lot on his back) then I'd look at him again. He shouldn't have played against Everton IMO so I'm in agreement with many on here. Where we differ is that I'm not a coward or a bully, and I despise those who are.

I agree with this. Andrews should really be a sub player because he is versatile but not the best by any stretch. Get behind him rather than picking on him, only bullies do that...

Well said TimmyJimmy. I'm sick to the back teeth of all this crap that gets thrown at Keith game after game. He plays because he is chosen to play and if anything it is Sam's fault and not Andrews, so maybe some of our so called "fans" should vent their anger at him instead....oh wait, look what happened the last time they tried that

Fact is Nelsen was as shocking against Everton as Keith was and a much to blame for the result with his idiotic challenge in the opening minutes and his poor free header in front of their goal.

I wonder who the next fall guy will be when/if Keith leaves?

Also, one last thing. Keith cost us approx £1m and has played over 60 games for us scoring 5 goals in the process. During this time Vince Grella (who cost around £4m) has played half as many games (many of which he hasn't even played 45, never mind 90 minutes) and has contributed ZERO goals!

I got some fun poked at the fact that I have Andrews' name on the back of my shirt during the United game, one of which suggested that I should be ashamed and/or embarrassed by this. Fact is Keith has grabbed his chance since been picked from League 2 and has established himself as a fixture in both the Irish and Rovers squads over the last year. Say what you want about the quality of each of these squads, but I'm proud that we have an Irish international in our squad and I'm damn proud to wear my Rovers shirt and what it stands for (both front and back).

Chin up Keith, you're living the dream and proving that with hard work and determination you can achieve anything :rover:

(I await more snide remarks about both Keith and the Irish nation).

I'm not one of the so-called 'Andrews-haters' however I still view the guy as being dreadfully out of his depth. Get rid as soon as.

Having said that, anyone hurling gratuitous abuse at him is a tosser pure and simple. Ok he's not up to it, but when he's on the pitch one wonders what good could possibly come of battering his confidence.

I don't feel sorry for him (he earns more in a week than I do in a year and plays Premier League football for a living) but I do understand how his confidence could take a hit.

Why would anyone want him on the bench? He's either good enough, or he isn't.

and he isn't.

and you know it.
