Come tuesday night when Burnley play Bolton, you cant help but feel that its going to be an emphatic win for Bolton in front of a hoard of clarrots.

The Bolton fans will be the taking the micheal big time out of the claret clampits, this alone will be most entertaining.

I hope not. After their match, Bolton will be 1 game behind us and Burnley even with us in matches. With us sitting on 24 points, I'd like to limit Burnley and Bolton to a draw, or 21 and 19 points respectively.

Dont worry about Bolton, they will definitely stay up, absolutely guaranteed now since they changed their manager.

I'm not overly concerned about Bolton staying up. I am more concerned about them catching up to us on the league table, which a win against Burnley with a game in hand would help them do. So I'm hoping for a draw in the Bolton v. Burnley contest, followed by a win for Blackburn against Wigan.

It's nothing to do with us. The police will run the whole show. I'll be just as against the way you'll be treated as I was for us, not that it will make any difference.

Your law abiding, regular season ticket holding fans will spend all day as good as in police custody, whereas the wannabe, pea-brained mongs in their crap designer jackets will smash a pub up and act like tits miles from the ground.

Believe it or not, I've quite a few B**tard mates and used to enjoy a drink before and after previous meetings (even the 5-0). The whole day is a bit of a farce now if you actually go to the games. You won't even be able to play at pretend-hooligans on the train anymore, which is all part of the fun for a lot of folk. Many Clarets, myself included, are looking forward to Tuesday's trip to Bolton much more. 4,500 tickets, an 8pm kick-off and make your own way there like a grown-up.

Agreed Sam, however, wait until you leave the ground, those Bolton muppets walk through your crowd looking for an 8 year old with glasses on to punch, because they're all really hard. They are Absolute nobs and of course, you add in their no atmosphere, brainless stewards (Enjoyment police) tannoy drums and disgraceful service in the away end, it's a new category of shocking!

I'm undecided, I mean imagine the feeling being there if we won but, I've got an st and 3 away games at the month btw. But the pleb factor would be at a maximum and I'm not sure I'm up for being mugged off like an idiot the way we did their shower, and they will because they are petty

The restrictions come from the old bill not the clubs.

Yep, just like when we got bussed their for the FA Cup game a few years back.

Local pub for me as I'm passed all that being dehumanised and ferried around like cattle

Absolutely - no other section of our society could be treated the way football fans are without an army of civil rights lawyers getting on the case.

Mmmm I hear what you say. Unfortunately we do have our own fair selection of 'really hard' numpties and as has been alluded to elsewhere, factor in the gloating potential and then IF Bolton fans walk through the Burnley fans then there is real potential for a kick off. As ever the mindless few could ruin it for everybody else.

In terms of our game, the real derby. Gosh I'm honestly just so excited about another league meeting. Sure the odds are against us, we have no money, a small squad, the manager has done a bunk and taken all the backroom staff with him but hey, its a derby game, the derby game and these are the sort of games that make watching football worthwhile. So we will probably end up on the wrong side of another defeat, who cares? We get a chance to have bragging rights for a few months. If we get relegated, which has always seemed likely, playing Rovers is the main thing I will miss.

I'm looking forward to it purely because the atmosphere will be incredible. I'll go on the coach, get shepherded in and out and endure the 'cattle to slaughterhouse' treatment purely because the buzz of that game will be that good. Win or lose, it'll be superb. I was there in 2000 and for the FA Cup a few years later (that atmosphere was NOTHING in comparison to the first one). 2000 was the loudest I have ever heard and the best league game I have ever been to based purely on atmosphere.

Notlob game tomorrow is not on tv, but you will be able to watch it on-line via NO STREAMING LINKS THANKS.

To be honest this game is likely to end in bad news one way or another with regards to the crowd. There used to be a lot of bad blood between us in the lower leagues and with the Judas saga thrown in not to mention the size of the game in terms of league importance I expect all fans are likely to be on the edge with many looking for a reason to over step the mark unfortunately.

Whatever happens though I don't see it making any difference to our derby match. You will be under the same draconian measures that we were put under and each and every one of you will be treated like hardened criminals. A total farce. After what we went through in October I feel for what you will have to go through. It takes away so much of the build up to what is a great game that everybody should look forward to.

If it goes off at Reebok, then it will just give the police a reason to do the same next time we play Notlob.

Yes we have idiots and so does every team, but they should at least give fans the option of getting to the game how they want. If people fear for their safety which only the police make out it is so bad, then they can go with a police escort on club coaches. If they feel responsible enough to get to the ground without on their own, then they should be able to do that. We are not all simple.

The police in the NW should do more to prevent Manure and the bin dippers from roaming free and causing grief everywhere they go, but nobody likes to point the finger at the big boys.

I understand where you are coming from, but take a look at the Milwall VS West Ham game. The scenes at that match were shocking and both clubs are lucky to escape with a fine. Majority of the fans know how to behave but there will always be one numpty who wants to flare things up between both sets of fans, and that potentially will ruin the game. The police have to look at both sides of the coins and you can't really blame them for the strategy they are applying for our matches.

People have been buying away tickets but not even going the game in the hope of gettin a ticket for this.

I know I've got one, it's not what you know it's who you know ;)

Spot on Dave. Only missed one Dingle Derby (incl Manx Cup) since 1977 - and was when the roof came off the darwen end. Not a ST holder but will get a ticket nonetheless.

Hopefully travel by rail again too - but this time arrive on time - rather than the bullsh*t of being slow walked and getting there 10 mins after KO. Prefer to take that risk rather than arriving 3 hours beforehand esp when have a 3 hr drive to get to ewod in the first place.

Spot on about the Mancs mate. Allowed to roam free giving it the big 'un. I must be growing mellow in my old age but i actually want Burnley to stay up purely because these are the only two fixtures that I look forward to in th prem anymore. Love the rivalry, the banter, the edge of your pants stuff. Don't mind herberts giving it large from the CS or JH stands either - all adds to the fun. As long as there is no bother and everyone gets there and gets home safe - and a result for the Blues - that is all that matters.

To any other Burnely fans - Do you have a copy of 'I've got a Feeling' by the Black Eyed Peas at the Turf - or do we need to fetch our own for the 28th ???

Not sure that will be an option - there was simply no 'solo' travel to Ewood. You wanted a ticket you got on coach, I would expect you to endure the same draconian restrictions on your freedom of movement.

:rover: will the hull match be on a saturday now we are both out the cup :brfcsmilie:

Probably not. I asked at the Fans Forum last week and the club were not planning to - they wanted to keep the date free in case we get another cold snap and have rearranged games to fit in.

Looking like I'm going to be in Philadelphia on derby day!

Does anyone know anywhere in Philly that will be showing the game at 7am on a Sunday morning? (Long shot I know)

Looks like it'll be BBC updates for me then, although on a positive note, if we do lose I'm out of the country and will hopefully avoid any backlash.

Most of the trouble at that game was pre-planned and outside the stadium which nobody can do anything about.

The pitch invasions were a bit of nothing and incited by the players. Again not much you can do if there are enough idiots wanting to run on the pitch with 100's of kids being like sheep behind them.
