Gav Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I'm in the cricket field end and have been watching home and away for 20 odd years, so no we are not all new fans. Many exchanged their season tickets to that stand once they split it and opened it up for us. Quite a large number are those that used to stand on the longside and are ones that generate atmosphere. Most of the newer fans are scattered about and mainly in the lower tiers of the new stands. All the band wagon jumpers I know are in the cricket field stand, you know the ones that claim: "I went in the 4th division" You've been going home and away for 20 odd years? like most burnley fans eh Joke club, joke ground, joke fans.
3rdpillar Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Hope they don't run out of beer before the match.
stuwilky Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I'm not too sure myself how it is worked, but I think block 1 is the front left hand corner has you look at it. The stand goes back about 50 rows using the alphabet and then half way up changes to AA, BB, CC etc. Seat number 1 starts on the left hand side has you look at the stand from the pitch. To be near the home fans you would need to have seat numbers 75 or above. Very little seggregation. I would say about 400 seats from top to bottom and with 50 seats from top to bottom it leaves about 8 seats in-between us and you. You can have a chat with us Cheers SWCSC, looks like I need my tin hat then.
Gav Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Hope they don't run out of beer before the match. Have to seen the facilities you'll be lucky to get a bag of crisps nevermind beer.
Derby Blue Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Has anyone from Phase 2 heard 'yes' or 'no' yet? I also applied for phase 2 tickets but no news yet. I would have thought we would find out by the end of today if we were successful. Although it does depend on how many tickets they had left after phase 1 and how long it takes to process them all.
Ossydave Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Hope they don't run out of beer before the match. They aren't even serving are they?

Stop talking like a tool. I know a bandwagon jumper. He watched Burnley home and away in the 4th division. You lot bought the PL and all of a sudden he is now a season ticket holder and lifelong supporter of Rovers. Still every club have them. You will get served beer, but it might take a while to get served.
Ossydave Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Darwen End is open for Breaky too isnt it?! Yeah although I'd rather risk a McD's to be honest
Hughesy Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Yeah although I'd rather risk a McD's to be honest Sounds like a plan - ewood mc'ds at 7 via the aqueduct!! Cant wait!

Ben-2000 Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 After all their priority periods, the dingles still have tickets left for home area's and ST holders and members can buy an extra ticket for the general public - so much for their 100,000 fan base
Baz Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 The stand goes back about 50 rows using the alphabet and then half way up changes to AA, BB, CC etc. Got more than the usual 26 letters in the alphabet in Yorkshire?

He died in tragic circumstances, but he isnt the 1st Rovers fan! got to agree there hughesy tragic what happened but he had a fitting tribute and it should be left at that. Uncle jacks name on the other hand should be bellowed out for all time

sambo Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 The thought had crossed my mind, but now I know that beer is on sale in the ground I think i'll hang on til 10ish Nothing wrong with a few beforehand Think it will be a can or two, now I'm thinking brekkie in the Darwen End so no doubt a pint or two there... getting a beer at Burnley will be a nightmare queueing wise! I thought it was pretty obvious when I said 'ABOUT' 50 rows.

Yeah you got me on that one. Because Burnley won promotion I decided to just buy my very first season ticket and travel up from Swansea every other week. I have actually been to 96 league grounds in England and Wales. The only ground in the PL I've not seen Burnley play at is Manure. I've watched England there, but not Burnley. After that it is just a couple of the newer clubs that have come up from the conference in the last 10 years or so.
