sleepyjack Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 It makes Steve Jobs look like a midget with an iPhone.
Eddie Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 If there is a pen function to work with it then I'll be getting one, if not then can't see much of a point.

neekoy Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Do some research before buying this. I still think the HP mini netbook is a better option
LeChuck Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Ok I'll ask...what's the point? I thought technology generally made things smaller, it just looks like a massive iPhone.
neekoy Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 I am not averse to Applce products, my iPod is still going strong but 64G hardrive is the largest capacity? Pretty good review
Tris Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Ok I'll ask...what's the point? I thought technology generally made things smaller, it just looks like a massive iPhone. The first thing I thought of when I saw the iPad ... I think they've messed up a bit here - I don't think the netbook market will survive ... as fully fledged laptops get smaller and thinner, and smartphones get more and more powerful, the middle ground is going to get swamped.
broadsword Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 I'm sticking with my netbook. Can't stand using anything touch-screen, just don't like using them at all. A laptop is too big for when I'm travelling. So, a netbook it is then.

Paul Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 I don't understand this product. I have a very nice Assus eeee which is small enough to carry round, holding in one hand and operating with the other. It also travels anywhere very well, even in the panniers on my bike. At 1kg it's hardly heavy. It does everything I need and more. There seem to be plenty of very small laptops available for around £200-£250 and this being an Apple product will be twice the price. I have iPod which I still think is outstanding and I'll probably be getting an iPhone soonish but i don't see any reason to buy an iPad.

A laptop is too big for when I'm travelling. So, a netbook it is then. I don't even like the touch-pad mouse on most laptops now. I insist on using a proper usb connected mouse. Hope they don't become obselete!!
Ricky Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 I've got a Dell Mini netbook which I got from PC World for £149. I also have an iphone... I won't be buying the Ipad. Doesn't do anything for me at all.

Hope they don't become obselete!! Why do you want a touchscreen phone then? Hughesy, this is on wiki Prices for models in the United States range from $499 to $829 depending on the amount of storage and inclusion of 3G access.

Just pressing. It's the dragging I don't like on the pad.
Biddy Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 I honestly don't see the point in this product at all. However, I'm sure the plethora of Apple junkies will rush out at midnight on the night of release and snap them all up.
Backroom Tom Posted January 28, 2010 Backroom Posted January 28, 2010 Looks crap to me. You seen the Sean Lock stand up when he talks about inventing massive chicken kievs to rival mini kievs, well yeah it reminds me of that
