Eddie Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 He should have scored. Simply can't miss those. This is why we can't be playing him.
MarkBRFC71 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Nope Mokoena was far more useful to us than Andrews It's a bit early for hallucinogenic drugs surely? Trust me, I've been going to Ewood since 1982, and Mokoena is the worst player we've had. And believe me, we've had some total toss!
BPF Posted January 30, 2010 Author Posted January 30, 2010 Can't score ever!!!! ************************************* Roberts!!!!!!!!!!! (Big swearing)
Backroom DE. Posted January 30, 2010 Backroom Posted January 30, 2010 What a shock, Jason Roberts misses a one on one.
iammikec Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Perfect advert for the fact that Roberts is awful in 1 on 1 situations!!
Miker Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Seriously get a grip, there is absolutely no evidence we are now playing worse following the substitutions, in fact we're playing better.
Mr. E Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Shoot Roberts. Shoot him. Shoot him now. Please just shoot him.
LeChuck Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Only turned this on at 60 minutes but we've been brilliant in the bit I've seen...can't believe we haven't scored. Roberts' miss was bad, but he made the chance himself where none of our other strikers could. That's why he's so bloody frustrating.
deftangel Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 If he get's longer than half a second to think about it, he can't score. This is why Beattie would be an effective upgrade on Roberts.
MarkBRFC71 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Sam, if you think Roberts is a better player than Di Santo or Kalinic, you should resign because you are clearly f**king clueless about football. Roberts is the joint worst finisher we've had since 1982 - on a par with Paul McKinnon.
deftangel Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 And more to the point, if we brought on Roberts for anyone other than Kallinc he could be taking the attention off and making chances for someone who can shoot. Frustrating isn't the bloody word.
tony gale's mic Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 To be fair on Roberts that little incident showed his strengths and his weaknesses all in one. Our other strikers wouldve scored that, but they wouldnt have had the chance in the first place.
mellison24 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Sam, if you think Roberts is a better player than Di Santo, you should resign because you are clearly f**king clueless about football. Roberts is the joint worst finisher we've had since 1982 - on a par with Paul McKinnon. Roberts will tussle with defenders. DiSanto won't, he just chases them.
Backroom Tom Posted January 30, 2010 Backroom Posted January 30, 2010 Have a feeling they will nick this late on
mellison24 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 What was wrong with that? Exactly. ANY other striker it's: "Ooooooo, unlucky lad!"
MarkBRFC71 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Roberts will tussle with defenders. DiSanto won't, he just chases them. Di Santo might score a one-on-one, Roberts won't, he just fluffs them.
budha Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 To be fair on Roberts that little incident showed his strengths and his weaknesses all in one. Our other strikers wouldve scored that, but they wouldnt have had the chance in the first place. Just like Di Santo has been burying his 1 on 1's this season? He wouldnt have even gotten to 1 on 1 from that situation.
mellison24 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Di Santo might score a one-on-one, Roberts won't, he just fluffs them. DiSanto is also known for 1-1 mishaps this season though. he gets the benefit of the doubt due to foreign name and youth.
MarkBRFC71 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Just like Di Santo has been burying his 1 on 1's this season? He wouldnt even gotten to 1 on 1 from that situation. We'll never know, but I would rather Di Santo was in that position than Roberts. You can guarantee Roberts is going to miss.
Backroom Tom Posted January 30, 2010 Backroom Posted January 30, 2010 Exactly. ANY other striker it's: "Ooooooo, unlucky lad!" Roberts is famous for missing chances to win games, he is an awful finisher when given any time to think We need to get rid
BPF Posted January 30, 2010 Author Posted January 30, 2010 Di Santo might score a one-on-one, Roberts won't, he just fluffs them. Based on goals scored in the Premiership this season I don't really class Di Santo as a Premiership Striker
