Mattyblue Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 I read that some of their ex players have initiated a winding up petition against the club. Another mess of a club in the north west... Quote

speeeeeeedie Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 Anderlecht have been fined by the Belgium FA for not having a coach with a UEFA Pro license. Said coach is Vincent Kompany; Fine for Anderlecht It reads like they tried to circumvent the rules and got caught. Quote
speeeeeeedie Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Any of our Irish members have comments on this; Irish FA going broke Ireland has long outsourced the development of its national team to England and to a lesser extent Scotland. Now the home front is struggling. Quote

Vinjay Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 AC Milan, who have also suffered from FUP have spoken out against this. Quote
Vinjay Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 The competition means a lot in Brazil and apparently Flamengo wanted Liverpool in the final. I like that. None of that cowardice about avoiding certain teams or getting "easier" draws. Quote
old darwen blue Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Last minute winner by Firmino means the dream final on Saturday, also on BBC2. Quote
Vinjay Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Got soaked earlier tonight and the rain is just as heavy in Portugal. Players in Porto game splashing all over the place. Quote
Blue blood Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 Think this is the right thread - apologies if not and please feel free to move it - but Macclesfield have been docker 6 points for not fulfilling fixtures. I do wonder how those in the football league can actually look in a mirror. A TOTALLY different punishment to Bolton within 6 months of each other. I mean, even for the EFL that seems overly hypocritical and incompetent. Not forgetting the Boro precedent either. It almost seems as depending on their view of the club, your punishment differs. FIFA, UEFA and the leech that is the Premier League are rightly criticised for their avriciousness and corruptness but the EFL is just as appalling it seems. 3 Quote

Vinjay Posted December 27, 2019 Posted December 27, 2019 (edited) https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sunderland-fan-groups-call-stewart-17481786 Sunderland fans upset and calling for owner and manager to go. Previous manager Jack Ross was sacked in October and was hampered by problems including FUP. Sunderland aren't a club that are likely to be in L1 for long but the owner can't sustain losses like Venkys have. Sunderland apparently are in their lowest ever league position. Rovers were 22nd after that Doncaster loss though I don't know if the club was ever rock bottom in the early-mid 70's. Edited December 27, 2019 by Vinjay Quote
Vinjay Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 Shame for Alan Nixon's club Partick today. Colin Weir who won the Euromillions had only recently bought the club. Quote

Colin knew his days were numbered and made special provision for the Jags. They are luckier than most clubs of that size in Scotland. Quote
