Stuart Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 What a joke. Sanction them anyway. Points deductions will do. 4 Quote

RoverDom Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Absolutely agree there needs to be sanctions. This isn't some spur of the moment thing they misjudged this was a conscious premeditated attempt to seize the game to which they didn't anticipate this level of opposition. These clubs now realise that they cant just do what they want, that needs reinforced with a strong punishment. Quote
Displaced Rover Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 These clubs should still be subject to sanctions. Hefty points deductions. Ideally you'd punish the owners not the fans but not sure how you'd do that. I do believe these Americans will come again. They don't give a shit about history and sporting integrity and they'll just see this as a temporary setback. Quote
AllRoverAsia Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 The positive is that UK Gov will push though the Review Quote
OldEwoodBlue Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Well it distracted us from Mowbray for 24 hours. Similar shambles. 1 Quote
RoverDom Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 A lines been crossed, this is not over. Proper reform is needed to club ownership, player wages and agent regulation. 2 Quote

He was giving it the billy big potatoes..... none of you can stop it or punish us! Now everyone drops out hours later including the 2 Spanish rivals potentially. Oooops. 😀 Quote
jim mk2 Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Ed Woodward gone at ManU - piqued at ESL collapse or impending financial trouble at Old Trafford? Either way, big clubs in turmoil Long may it continue 5 Quote
Proudtobeblue&white Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Shock news, Rovers to replace anyone leaving says Mrs Desai. Quote
Mr. E Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 yep 99.9% certain this nonsense is dead now, but the big threat I mentioned before remains - that the CL is pushed even more into the direction of the big clubs' liking. There was talk about some positive reform happening in football, I hope this doesn't kill those hopes too. Quote

darrenrover Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 It's looking like Blaugrana, Los Blancos and Die Bayern are going to be able to play with La Vecchia Signora on their own, without any Brits fucking it up for them! 🤣 Quote
OldEwoodBlue Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Spurs v Arsenal every week. A cunning plan Quote
Backroom DE. Posted April 20, 2021 Backroom Posted April 20, 2021 City and Chelsea were the clubs who benefited least from the ESL. Neither are in financial trouble and both have been regularly relevant as far as the PL title and Champions League are concerned in recent years. None of the other clubs can tick both boxes as far as criteria is concerned, so it's no wonder they were the first two to pull out. Their FOMO disappeared when they realised the sheer weight of opposition was about to crush the ESL before it ever got off the ground The pair of them along with every other club involved should still be heavily sanctioned, though. 2 Quote
Backroom Mike E Posted April 20, 2021 Backroom Posted April 20, 2021 Send them to the Vanarama leagues. 3 North, 3 South. Fuck them. Also a quick fix redistribution of funds down the pyramid with gate receipts for those clubs down there. 6 Quote
Backroom DE. Posted April 20, 2021 Backroom Posted April 20, 2021 Looking like the failure of the ESL may prompt the Glazers to sell Man Utd. Quote
