AllRoverAsia Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 (edited) Russia losing 2-1 v Kenya at HT in a match being played in Turkey. It came up on my YouTube. I will assume it's a testimonial for Wagner...... 🙄🤔 Edited October 16, 2023 by AllRoverAsia 1 Quote

philipl Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 Guess which former CL regular club got bought for a mind bending 800m last year by a totally clueless new Owner. Hint their fans are envious of neighbours Clermont Forande. PS hadn't realised Nice are going so well- that was a fantastic result from our under 21s a couple of weeks ago. Quote
Dreyski Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 Following on from that, Ajax are having a mare of a season - missing out on the Champions' League has been so costly for them. The manager and director of football have both already been canned. Quote
riverholmes Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 Just chanced upon the details of Tyler Magloire's injury whilst playing for Northampton last season. He's our former academy and U23 defender and captain, if anyone's forgotten. Apparently, a relatively "innocuous collision" with another player left him with a rupture to the ACL and MCL, as well as a torn meniscus. I'm not familiar with these types of injuries but it sounds horrendous. He's expected back some time next year. Quote
philipl Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 Marseille v Lyon called off after Lyon coaches and team bus attacked. Lyon boss Grosso and assistant stretchered out with facial injuries Quote

We also have Southgate in the dug out, Maguire at CB and Phillips or Henderson in midfield. Quote

Maguire has always done well for England 1 Quote
roversfan99 Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 An aging Henderson following a year in Saudi Arabia, Phillips who is bang average and wont have played football in a couple of years and Maguire who calamity seems to follow around. Get our name on the trophy. And the main issue, the man who keeps selecting them. (We do obviously have some excellent players too) Quote

Tyrone Shoelaces Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Girona top of La Liga. Maybe our defeat wasn’t that bad after all. 2 Quote

arbitro Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/uefa-president-who-angered-ukraine-31488241 There is a potential storm brewing here as Italy qualified for the Euro's because of their head-to-head record against Ukraine and the UEFA President said before the match that it would be a disaster if Italy didn't qualify. Ukraine were denied a clear penalty in the second minute of stoppage time and there was no VAR intervention. The incident is about five minutes in on here. Quote
frosty Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 Was it clear? Mudryk clearly gets to the ball first - albeit with the sole intention to start falling and win a penalty - and it's beyond risky from Cristante but where's the actual 'contact'? A few rolls and pretending to be injured too....even if there was contact, it obviously didn't hurt. Up you get lad. Quote

The Italian committed himself to the challenge and Mudryk's touch was before the challenge came in. The Italian was therefore late and there was clear contact on Mudryk not on the ball. What is really surprising is that according to the reports it wasn't reviewed. Quote

The big question after the previous remarks by the UEAF rep, is why was there no VAR review. 1 Quote
