Audax Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 (edited) I happened to see that a match was on the scoreboard about 2 days ago. It must have been Steelers vs. Seoul. http://int.soccerway.com/ I'll keep an eye out for this next match, it looks like Saturday. http://int.soccerway.com/national/korea-republic/k-league-classic/2013/relegation-round/r20387/ Edited November 28, 2013 by Audax Quote

Backroom Mike E Posted November 28, 2013 Backroom Posted November 28, 2013 England has had 10 clubs appear in the Champion's League (Us, Utd, City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Leeds, Everton, Newcastle and Spurs). Spain has had 14 (can't be arsed listing): http://www.eurocupshistory.com/champions_league/spain_clubs You can use stats how you want ofc, but I believe Spain is definitely more competitive than England. Audax Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 (edited) The Premier League has had the most World Cup players since at least 2006, meaning World Cup players from every team, Drogba, Kuyt, etc, in fact, let's not forget the Korean who played for Man Utd. as well, I think Park. That's got to be a good stat. Still, it seems the "mega-stars" in recent years have been in Spain, Ronaldinho, Messi, now Cristiano Ronaldo who of course, played in England, now they have Gareth Bale. A decade ago, Zidane and Ronaldo. Not to forget Ibrahamovic and Eto'o who were prime big stars there. Edited November 28, 2013 by Audax Quote

donnermeat Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Daejeon rallied well under a new manager but didn't quite escape. They were relegated today. That's a shame, I didn't even know they had a second division over there. I know they have a lot of university teams though so could one of them be promoted to the K League? Quote

Audax Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) http://www.marca.com/2014/02/01/futbol/1391240884.html Rest In Peace Luis Aragones. Saddened. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/25997111 Yes, he met with some controversy, he was from another time. For the record, he played with Real Betis, that was his main club. Surely Spain will dedicate their WC effort to the memory of LA. Edited February 1, 2014 by Audax Quote
