[Archived] Stoke Vs Rovers

Being thrashed by the lowest goal scorers in the Prem League.

Yes Bennet hs been a poor ref and been inconsistent on sendings off but this one was lost in the dressing room.

Maybe the Bennie fee could be used to sack Sam

How do you put people on ignore again? You're such a doom and gloom merchant. Yes you hate Allardyce, we got that last December. Get over it and support the team.

He like everybody else are allowed their opinion. We might not agree with anothers opinion but they have the right to voice it all the same. But it does sound like Rovers were dire today - the result is especially. It is not one game but the season. I am all for giving Sam a chance, I am not a Sam hater. But if he is not up to the job, then he should go.

If you think Stoke have a 3-0 better team on paper than Rovers then I can't be bothered any more.

Difficult to argue that they aren't better than us man for man, booth. Which rovers player would get into their team?

Did anyone else notice Mr. Graeme James Souness sitting next to Gordon Brown in the front row of the directors area, two seats from JW and 3 seats from Sam at the start of the match. At first glance I thought it was Finn, but upon closer inspection.............What the hell was he doing there?!?

I wish people here would quit with the fallacy that we want Rovers playing silky, end-to-end football. It's such a gross misrepresentation of a genuine criticism. The players are flagrantly uncomfortable playing this rigid, unpalatable, laboured long ball game. Sam approaches these games hoping we can keep it tight and maybe knick a goal from a set-piece or a tedious long throw. Sam simply can't be allowed to get away with these performances for much longer. Some people are just satisfied to be in the Premier League, but it's clear that Sam is driving fans away with these constant capitulations. It's not like we even lose narrowly. Everton, Fulham, Stoke...none of them particularly high-scoring teams, but they've made us look like a walk in the park. This can't be doing much for the pride and morale of the entire club.

okay ill admit it was a very poor performance but surely the time to get on his back is when we have had a run without any wins.
