I think I will leave this alone and wait for FIFA 11. It always feels like the last Fifa game you had but with bits left out.

If they threw it out for £20 then I would probably get it but there is no way I am paying £40 for a game which I already have.

Yep, can't understand why they just don't do an add-on to FIFA 10 (where you can set up your own tournament if you want) - download for a tenner, done...

They might actually get round to finishing off the game properly - anyone notice the invisible trophies whenever you win a tournament?

They couldn't do an add on like that because its EA we are talking about.

And yep, I too have invisible trophies.

Something thats always puzzled me about the Fifa games is that when you complete a season and win a trophy all you get is a 3 second clip of the players in a team photo with a trophy (or not in this case) as Kamy has said though the single player part is a mess and I cant believe they haven't sorted it out.

I remember a few seasons ago you would be playing the game and after a season I would win a cup and have quite a bit of cash but would get the sack. I dropped them a mail pointing out the problem but never heard anything back (not that I was expecting to but was hopeful of a patch). That season I traded Fifa in and started with Pro Evo (and only switched back when they broke Pro Evo).

They COULD do it, they WON'T cos they're a bunch of mercenaries who will exploit every opportunity to empty the pockets of footy loving punters - that's the only part of the football simulation they got absolutely spot on.

Silly thing is they might sell 250,000 World Cup games at 50 quid but could easily sell 2.5 million downloads at 10 quid (like with Live Season).

The 3 second clip is crap, exactly the same as last years. There should be a trophy cabinet plus a team photo you can look over, plus season stats and a considerably longer non-scripted clip.

Much as the huge problems this game suffers it only gets the votes and purchases cos it's a 2 horse race and it's better than the competition, bit like politics really.

Totally agree that this could have been DLC, but as Cocker says this is EA and they would never do anything like that.

The one player mode in FIFA 10 (particularly manager mode) is fundementally broken, it has a number of major bugs which renders the mode useless, and the number of smaller bugs makes me thinkj how the hell did this get through quality testing. The worst of it is that EA were made aware of the big problems within a week of release and they have done nothing about it. After a few years of looking like they care it seems they have gone back to the "old" EA.

I have played a hell of a lot of Pro Evo this year, it is not a perfect game, far from it, but it's core gameplay is fine and the offline modes are virtually bug free. It also does the little things really well, like having presentation ceremonies when you win a cup, or if one of your players win World Footballer Of The Year, they actually show a small video of the presentation ceremony. Then of course you have the Champions League/Europa League intergration into Master League, small things which EA says don't matter, but to people who play the game these little touches do matter. Konami now have a good foundation to build upon, if they can sort out the animations and "ridigidness" for PES2011 then they will give FIFA2011 a run for it's money.

Pro Evo is sh!te though...bug free or not!

Have you played the retail version?

It may not have the bells and whistles of FIFA, but offline it is a far more satisfying experience playing Pro Evo than bug ridden FIFA. I will agree that multi-player on FIFA is good, although now that people have found the cut back expolit that is becoming less satisfying.

I'm loving Fifa this year but it is a bit of a let down when you win the league after a long season and all you get is the tiny clip with a missing trophy.

The best was on PES years ago maybe PES 4 when you won the league there was a montage with we are the champions playing.

Does it have it's problems? Sure it does, what game doesn't but to suggest it's @#/? is pretty daft. Maybe not your cup of tea but thousands if not millions of people would disagree with you.

Fifa and PES couldn't be any different, there are things that are better on Fifa and things that are better on PES, neither of them are perfect but they are a long way off being @#/?.

I have Pro evo on the xbox, i have fifa on the ps3. Pro Evo is @#/? (and this is the first fifa i have brought in years, pro ruined itself).

Just had a go on the demo.

What a total and utter sh**e game it is right now. I don't know if the can still salvage it before release.

So many things are wrong.

too bad was really looking forward to it as I figured it would be an upgrade on fifa 10. so far its a step backwards!

Is it just me or are you having the same experience with the demo?

I think the demo feels much improved from fifa 10 and I've put many mnay hours into that game! The passing feels just right and the shooting is great. I also find you can score some fantastic goals, more so than on fifa 10. Day one purchase for me, if the online side is as good as Euro 08 it'll be great. Hopefully they've fixed the 'fifa 10 lottery' in some online games, it decided who it wanted to win and made it hard for the player to do anything right, bloody annoying!

Do we have 32 xbox users who will buy the game? Could we try and organise a world cup? Randomly assign teams and see who wins it?

Much as I've dissed the demo I'll probably get it if nothing else for a bit a FIFA variety as I'm sick of UT so count me in. Not sure we'll get 32 mind - there's about 18 users on the xbox360 league thread though.

Really. I thought player switching was very bad. Half the time I sat flicking the right stick what felt like 100 times trying to get control over a specific player - and I kept leaking goals because I had no control over the player before a through pass. When I got control my defender always took two step forward even though my left stick was in the opposite direction.

I know this is the same on 10 but in 10 you can pretty much counter it by switching in advance and just keep control of one specific player so that you arent exposed by by this bug.

Then there is the passing. The assisted passes seem to have a mind of their own. Like 1 in 3 times it went the wrong direction. And I could just take the assistant of and maybe I will but its still sucks non the less.

I still stand by my criticism of the game but have since discovered how much difference there is between the xbox and ps3 fifa games. I had never played the game on ps3 before so that will take part of the blame - but only a small part=)
