cn174 Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 You can clearly tell that all them Rovers videos that the Barcelona players have been watching are paying off.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 To be fair, it was a long ball he scored from haha. And 2-0 another brilliant finish. Ibraaaa.
Amo Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 2-2 now. Puyol & Pique both out of the return leg, along with Fabregas.
RibbleValleyRover Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I would say the advantage is with Barca, 2 away goals, no Fabregas and playing at the intimidating Camp Nou in the return leg. Pique and Puyol out will be a blow but Milito and Marquez aren't bad replacements.
Hasta Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 If I was an Arsenal fan I'd feel hollow tonight. I don't think I could enjoy getting back into the game due to a very dubious penalty.
Hughesy Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Very dodgy penalty! Same old Arsenal, always cheating!
grizfoot Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Very dodgy penalty! Same old Arsenal, always cheating! To be fair it wasn't as dodgy as the one we got at the weekend! Barcelona were pure class for large parts, but Arsenal showed some fighting spirit for a change and the Walcott substitution really changed the game.
Amo Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 To be fair it wasn't as dodgy as the one we got at the weekend! Hypocrisy is a concept lost on Hughesy.
Hughesy Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Hypocrisy is a concept lost on Hughesy. With originality being lost on topman
tcj_jones Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Annoyingly, I missed the Arsenal game last night. Anybody know if it's being repeated on TV at any time?
Majiball Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Having watched it tcj, I have no doubt it will be at some stage.
tcj_jones Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 I don't know whether to be happy at that, or sad because I missed it! Haha, ###### migraines!
waggy Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 it was great to see arsenal get a footballing lesson for the 1st 20mins,wenger moans about inferior teams fouling and injuring his players, but last night thats all arsenal could do,arshavin and song were lucky not to be sent off.inferior teams do not intend to injure players, the opposition are just too good arsene
Paul Mellelieu Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Tremendous stuff from Barca last night. Hope Big Sam was taking notes
Billy Castell Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Tremendous stuff from Barca last night. Hope Big Sam was taking notes No, Guardiola was at Turf Moor with his notepad of course.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 It was ironic how the first Barca goal came from a LONG BALL. THe only one I saw as well. Sam should mention it to Rafa.
Exiled_Rover Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 It was ironic how the first Barca goal came from a LONG BALL. THe only one I saw as well. Sam should mention it to Rafa. It actually came from ###### poor keeping.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Yes, but if Pique hadn't thumped it up to Ibra, Aluminium would still have been in his goal watching them ping it about across the midfield. Wonder if any Barca fans are fed up of the hoofball?
Grabbi Graeme Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 In Europa League Liverpool 1-0 against Benfica, but Liverpool down to 10 men after Babbel sent off for some afters after a tackle on Torres by Luisao. Agger scored for Liverpool Channel 5 Commentator "His (Agger) last goal was against Blackburn Rovers, a rather less sexy opposition"
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Benefica are launching it into the box from throw ins via Luiz so I don't think they are Barca yet.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Keith Andrews could get into the Benfica team but could Di Maria get into ours? 100% no!
Seggie Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Just a point about the Liverpool V Benfica game, I would be interested to see how UEFA respond to the firecrackers being lobbed on the pitch. Seeing the scortch marks left on the pitch those things would hurt if they hit someone.
