I can't be bothered trawling through your posts to confirm my impression but it seemed to me you positioned yourself to be on the "winning side" when we were going badly. I pointed it out at the time. As for superficial, I say what I think in a form that doesn't need analysing so I can squirm out of it afterwards. Lets hope you go on being delighted.

You're a victim of phlipphlop... The man who changes his mind more times than his underwear... ;)

47er, I always thought your posts were pretty superficial as is your reading of other people's posts.

Even at the worst point, I said the best thing for everybody was for Sam to get his act together. He has done so and I am delighted.

Philip you did the same with Paul Ince. I bet picking pettles off daisies was your favourite game as a child.

It's 'cognitive dissonance' not Philipphlop Ivan imo it's related to the mood swings associated with Paulitis. A debilitating disease which itself is similar to the recently discovered Nicko's Syndrome where the sufferer will never admit to being wrong. :P

I reckon cognitive dissonance and flip-flop aren't that far apart... ;)

I'd like to 'sit' that fat sloppy spaniard standing on the scouse touchline-

Lucas was looking to get Nzonzi booked there. He succeeded, but at least he's taken home a bruise for his trouble.

I just love the way Lucas is hanging on his arm being dragged along, and then N'zonzi goes if thats the way you wanna go heres a hand.

He put him where he belongs beneath him.

It's quite likely Lucas was nipping the skin at the back of N'Zonzi's arm. It's an old defenders corner kick trick, same as nipping the back of someones leg at corner kicks. It bloody hurts, is madly distracting and would wind anybody up to take a swing and get booked / sent off.

The FA should watch that clip carefully, Lucas is definitely on the wind up to get N'Zonzi booked.

I'll say one thing though N'Zonzi certainly has some power. Although Lucas was half way down he swatted him away like one would a fly.

You can see it in the way Lucas deliberately got himself over very quickly to back into Nzonzi, which is cut off of most of the clips of the incident.

(Not that Lucas was pinching him (which he could well have been) but that he was intending to cause trouble).

I remember those Theno, your right it does bloody hurt and generally gets a good smack.

Lucas was definitly out to cause trouble.

Because he's not good enough to cause trouble with the ball at his feet. I tell you, there'll have been a high percentage of Liverpool fans who whilst outwardly condemning N'Zonzi just wished they'd been the one belting him.

Having been here for two years now, your right most think he's a waste of space for Liverpool.

I just can't believe he's Brazilian.

Good to see Liverpoo lost again tonight to Lille. Not an easy second leg for them at Anfield having lost 1-0 to Lille away - Liverpool don't look like they'll keep a clean sheet.

How we lost to that shower with the most deluded manager around is beyond me (at least RFW can back up his bias with success.) Have to say that they are growing fast to being one of my most disliked teams, and if they loose the second leg the writing must be on the wall for Rafa, especially with 4th place looking so precarious at the moment.

effin joke............

"And the manager accepts that the club has now entered a phase in its history where the developments both on and off the field will have a massive impact on the entire future.

New investment is desperately required, and if the team fails on the pitch then it will have huge financial implications in the search for that new funding, which will, in turn, affect outlay over the next few years. "

Just how much 'investment' has he and his predecessor blown in the last decade? The potential for blowing vast amounts of money under bad management is frightening. Torres is their one success... and he's turn ing into a sick note!

Just think, Liverpool in desperate financial straits, carrying a duff manager whose sacking will thanks to their own stupididty of giving him a new 4 year deal will cost them 20 million leaving them in even deeper sh1t. Mark Hughes still happy with gardening leave .......... It could be a job for Big Sam!!!! :o

I did read somewhere that Rafa has spent 150M! Think where we would have been with a quarter of that. How he still has Liverpool fans conned is way beyond me.

When torres first started playing in the premier league he would stay on his feet when tackled, get up if he couldn't without too many complaints and generally looked keen to play and give 100% at all times. Last night he looked a shadow of that player - whinged and moaned at everything, and wanted everything laid on a plate for him. If Benitez has even lost him then what hope does he have of motivating the rest of his squad. And I agree - much as I hate Man Utd you sort of accept them because they have recent success to point to. every year Liverpool get further from their glory years and get more and more annoying.
