John Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Torres can be lethal when on form. Just hope we can give a good account of ourselves, but fearing a hammering.
Steve Moss Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Samba's captain? Sam is demonstrating his confidence. I think we're going to pull it off. Torres is awesome but we aren't bad either.
philipl Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Very strong side out from Liverpool but I think we can give a good account of ourselves. Enjoyed this on the Beeb: 1448: And while we're at it, I quite enjoyed this from Sam Allardyce as well: "People just think Sam Allardyce and long ball but that is not fair on my players. We are playing some good stuff at times... It's not my players fault, it is mine. Actually no, it is you guys who write about perception and not reality." 1443: Anxious groans from the home fans as Johnny Heitinga swings over a corner and Phil Jagielka is left unmarked to head over. Just on Big Sam v Rafa, Allardyce has been in fine form this week, accusing Liverpool of copying his Bolton tactics to climb up the table. "They've had to go back to basics and the pretty stuff goes out of the window until you start winning. They have been professional and dogged enough to slowly improve over recent weeks." From timbotouch on Twitter: "I wonder if Benitez will walk past Big Sam's outstretched hand. Cameras will be on that one too."
imy9 Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Can't see a Rovers win but hope we give a decent account of ourselves, expect the usual posters to reappear if we lose.
philipl Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Sorry to say but I have seen KA touch the ball three times and given it away three times. Rovers started nicely otherwise.
hollowsr Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Poooooo, flukey touch by Gerrard, good play leading upto it though fair play! Good shots by Gamst
modes98 Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Annoying to let that goal in after being on top for the majority of this game. Gerrard with a bad touch but still it somehow falls perfectly for him. Come on Rovers.
philipl Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Liverpool get lucky- we are bossing this game otherwise.
Exiled_Rover Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 The convict scores. Ah well. Wasn't expecting anything from this game anyway.
Steve Moss Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 The game isn't over until it's over. And the fat man hasn't sung yet.
MarkBRFC71 Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Why 1 up front again? The Bolton game summed our season nicely - first half, one up front, long ball, percentage, dross. Second half, 4-4-2, nice football in spells, opposition pinned back, several chances, comfortable win. So what does The Expert do? Pick the former, against a very average Liverpool team who just played in Europe, in a game where anything at all is a bonus - why not attack them and at least try to win? Clueless - absolutely, fooking clueless. With this line-up, and 1-0 down already, I can only see a heavy defeat for us here. Oh well, who's up next? We're going to do a Man City. I really hope you mean Man City at Chelsea yesterday, and not our pathetic capitulation at Man City!
rovers1995 Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 To be fair to Sam. Liverpool have better quality, everybody knows that. Listening to Radio Lancs we are playing very well. Keep the faith
Exiled_Rover Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Liverpool is full of divers. Can't touch the fairies.
hollowsr Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Is anyone else listening to a complete tool of a commentator? Also doesn't look like many Rovers fans, can't blame them at almost £40
MarkBRFC71 Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Is anyone else listening to a complete tool of a commentator? Also doesn't look like many Rovers fans, can't blame them at almost £40 £40 - and our, ahem, sparkling away form.
Backroom Tom Posted February 28, 2010 Backroom Posted February 28, 2010 Was to be expected and our brilliant home results have afforded us a bit of space to breathe in the games against the big 4, the 'bonus games' if you like. Just hope we don't capitulate
hollowsr Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 £40 - and our, ahem, sparkling away form. True but I'd love to go to Anfield but for £40 they can go whistle!
dazmaz Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Liverpool have got going now. we are struggling to get the ball out of our half
