Wolves are planning to talk to Dindane tomorrow in London, but there will be more twists before that one is done. He flies off on Tuesday to head fgor the World Cup. I expect him to decide by then - and he has other choices.

Fulham also expect to meet Piquionne very shortly too.

However Big Sam is in London right now...so watch this space over the next day or so.

Why aren't Rovers in for Piquionne ? Looks a very good player to me and a better bet than Dindane.

To be honest if Heskey was available I think Sam would be after him in a flash. Villa are short of strikers themselves so I doubt they'd want to let him go even if he isn't first choice at the moment.

I actually think he'd be a good partner for Kalinic, I'd just be worried we'd end up playing him as a lone striker and once again rely on the goals from Dunny.

I'm actually surprised we haven't been linked with him yet by one of the tabloids, he seems like Sam's ideal sort of player. I wouldn't be surprised if he's on around 50k a week though so even if they were willing to sell at a reasonable price I don't think we'd get close to those wages.

The Norwegian link is an interesting one, suggests to me that it's a cheap alternative to Pedersen who looks increasingly unlikely to sign a new deal the closer it gets to the end of his contract.

Sidwell and Reo Coker have offered very little when I've had the rare chance to see them play over the last couple of years. The fact that Villa still have a relatively small squad and they've barely been used in recent weeks tells it's own story. I think some of us are just going off past performances when they were regulars at their clubs in the same way that opposition fans still think Pedersen is deadly for us or that Kevin Nolan is a top player! I'm glad we don't seem to be in for either of them, I'd take Sidwell at a push but Reo Coker offers nothing and has a terrible attitude.

I am not too concerned about having the "smallest" transfer budget in the PL, could be part possum for all we know.

TBH 10 to 15 million is probably still going to be the smallest budget next year.

Others may not spend that but we are talking resources available.

Heskey is crap and not a goal scorer , I see the point in holding the ball up for Nicko even Roberts can do that.

Heskey is near enough close to HIS END, maybe two years ago he might have been a good signing but definitely not now.

Signing Heskey would be on a par now with Grella and Andrews definitely not the way forward.

The key is timing in life, Heskeys time has come and gone, i'm afraid! He shouldnt be anywhere near the world cup squad, but such it is that Capello's mind has suddenly become confused just like all the other recent England managers before a world cup tournament.

Just hope that Norwegian is nonsense aswell as he doesnt look fit for purpose in a Rovers team.

I would have been up for it a year ago but I think he is getting on a bit now and would not offer enough. If we were going for someone in that age bracket I would take Kevin Davies over him.... however I would rather have a younger player to be honest.
