Amo Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 How would a player going here or there constitute as a meltdown? Prepare for the anti-climax, I suppose.

brian_gallagher85 Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Eddie, when will Dindane become a decent player? I know you've seen much more of him than I have but he's ripping Chelsea apart today.
slough_rover Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 I know boatengs just missed the penalty but both him and Dindane look like they could add something to our attack.
Ricky Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Can't be the dindane to Greece thing as nicko scoffed at that when it came out. Surely the big man didn't get it wrong
Amo Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Eddie would have a point if Dindane was signed as our target man, but in a 4-3-3 he would be a smashing signing.
Eddie Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 His pace is causing Chelsea a bit of trouble, but he's not producing any quality. He's had a couple of good chances to score (just a second a go he had a good one), but he's yet to trouble the keeper. He's Jason Roberts with extra pace, but without the strength. We need more pace in our side, but if all we want is pure pace then we can get that for less and if we are spending 2.5 million we can do better.
Backroom Tom Posted May 15, 2010 Backroom Posted May 15, 2010 No quality? He picked out a few balls from the byline and beat men using skill as well as his pace. Sign him up Sam
vyeo Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 If the "meltdown" involves us, it could be a scenario where Sam wanted player X (could be Dindane, could be Lewandowski, could be someone else) and was initially told he could have him. But now that we've finished 10th position, the money has again disappeared... Still hoping I'm wrong and this does not involve us.
chaddyrovers Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 maybe a great signing. somebody like joe cole or somebody. maybe a top striker from france or germany. just have to wait till 11pm. stop thinking it something bad?
Backroom Tom Posted May 15, 2010 Backroom Posted May 15, 2010 You say that but the fact is he has a better record than our lot this season Belhadj looks like he can put in a good ball as well
slough_rover Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Let me know when he gets one on target please. Scored more league goals than Niko and less than half the price.
CrazyIvan Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 You say that but the fact is he has a better record than our lot this season Belhadj looks like he can put in a good ball as well Belhadj does look half decent at crossing the ball... I reckon he'd be a good signing but I reckon the news is that Pedersen has signed a new contract or something like that.
Eddie Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Also played in more games and had the benefit of playing for a team that had nothing to play for and just started scoring goals and letting them in at a high rate. Portsmouth towards the end of the season simply went for it, which made all of their attacking players look a bit better.
John Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Pedersen signing a new contract would hardly be a 'total stunner', neither Dindane signing for another club.
brian_gallagher85 Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Let me know when he gets one on target please. I think Drogba had the only one all game He's by now means world class, but I think he has showed this season and again today that he's not quite as bad as you're trying to make out at times. He'd be a good addition to our squad from what I've seen this season just so long as it's for £2m or less. What's the story with Belhadj next season, has anyone shown an interest? He's miles ahead of Gamst at any rate.
FourLaneBlue Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 The only stunning news relating to Rovers would surely be about a possible takeover? If not, something related to Sam. Can't see how a transfer rumour could cause any kind of meltdown. Well, not unless we are back in for Robbie Fowler... What Nicko said on the takeover thread... It's not Dan Williams...this one is serious...or so I am told. Unfortunately nobody else has heard what I have heard, so I am going to have to keep it quiet for now. If I print what I know on here it will just start doing the rounds and I won't be able to get to the bottom of it. There HAVE been people over this week who want to buy. My only reservation is that the intermediary is what is politely know as a 'tool.'
Fife Rover Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Total stunner in the People tomorrow... Surprised it has not come out so far, it's been buzzing around for the past few days. Prepare for meltdown. I will provide more info if the tale is not used properly. Got to get back to the day job... John Williams has resigned?
nicko Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 The biggie is potentially fabulous news...if nothing else it shows ambition...
1864roverite Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Alan Nixon, you have ruined almost every members Saturday with your earlier comment and now you decide to pop back with a more positive post. You miserable jock in a frock !!!!!

roversam Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 sounds like sam is going for a galactico like he did at Bolton. Would be great to see a big name at Ewood
Alan75 Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 The biggie is potentially fabulous news...if nothing else it shows ambition... Rover are going to rebuild the Riverside stand.
