tony gale's mic Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 I'm not against it but I'm not as hugely excited as others are. At the age of 33 he plain won't be the same player he used to be - granted he still may be very good but we're relying on him to adapt to the league very quickly for him to be worth it. I'd definitely sign him up but let's not get carried away here...

roversfan99 Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 The other match I think Kaka was dropped so he could play. Imagine his set pieces compared to MGP
patrickvalery Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 I think the most important thing is not whether he is worth 60k because of his age. But more is he willing to graft for it. Salgado worked out because he is willing to put a shift in. If Guti is of the same ilk and there is a chance we can do it then we should. However, if it is just a final big pay day and he doesn't fancy mixing it with some of the less desirables in the EPL then its a no go. Unfortunately all the speculating in the world won't unearth this. We'd have to trust Sams judgment if and when he meets the player.
rebelmswar Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Boooo! Thank you, thank you so much. Would you pass me that yellow rain coat please.
bluefred Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Is Guti better than the following: Andrews Emerton N'Zonzi Grella Dunn Diouf Pedersen Olsson Basturk Yes. totaly agree.class is one thing you dont lose with age.guti has it in abundance
FourLaneBlue Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Anyway, enough about Guti... When are we getting this Raul fella in? Pair him up with Jason Roberts and he would feel right at home. totaly agree.class is one thing you dont lose with age.guti has it in abundance Ahem. Robbie Fowler. Javier de Pedro. Dwight Yorke etc
bluebruce Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Maceo Rigters is off to Preston apparently. BEST THING I'VE HEARD ALL DAY!!!
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Guti would be a great signing. He would add that creative spark and a bit of flair. If he were to sign then we should enjoy these moments seeing players who have achieved everything in their careers having a new challenge at Blackburn and in the Premier League. Too true,a quality player who would only strengthen our team greatly. We wait with baited breath.........
knobs Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Realy hope its guti cue beattie or benjani preston being wound up apparntly
AndyNeil Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 sorry if this has been asked or confirmed (either way) ... is everybody waiting for an 11 o'clock update from Mr Nixon?
imy9 Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Anyway, enough about Guti... When are we getting this Raul fella in? Pair him up with Jason Roberts and he would feel right at home. Ahem. Robbie Fowler. Javier de Pedro. Dwight Yorke etc 3 CL, Six la Liga titles plus a number of other trophies, he stands head and shoulders above the others.
super_arran Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 sorry if this has been asked or confirmed (either way) ... is everybody waiting for an 11 o'clock update from Mr Nixon? Nah, I'm waitin to see if Hughesy's got anything exclusive....
Veevs Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Anyway, enough about Guti... When are we getting this Raul fella in? Pair him up with Jason Roberts and he would feel right at home. Ahem. Robbie Fowler. Javier de Pedro. Dwight Yorke etc Guti is a player who does not need pace, he is more of an intelligence player of the sort of Bergkamp and Tugay genre... and he is still a first teamer for one of the biggest clubs in the world. There is no way you can compare him to robbie fowler who flopped after his main liverpool career while still in his 20s. Would be an interesting move on our part and def show some ambition, hell ballack can still just about kick a ball and he is the same age.
roversmum Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 I'm quite liking this rumour (Guti). Shall we be changing our name to Real Blackburn? Now then, what is this meltdown causing news, I've a busy day tomorrow ...
FourLaneBlue Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 There is no way you can compare him to robbie fowler who flopped after his main liverpool career while still in his 20s. Who compared him to Robbie Fowler? I was merely referring to "class is one thing you dont lose with age".
mick Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 nicko, can we get the 11 o'clocker now as i have to go out and was hoping to have some good footy gossip for my best pal,a spurs fan?
Iceman Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 I'm quite liking this rumour (Guti). Shall we be changing our name to Real Blackburn? Now then, what is this meltdown causing news, I've a busy day tomorrow ... The meltdown is, that we managed to sell the club finally!
AndyNeil Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 How long will YOU wait for an update before you call it a night? A little game to play while we wait ...
Iceman Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 So who is getting a Guti Haz tattoo? like the guy at City who got the Kaka one
rovers1995 Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/814689/BLACKBURN-MONITORING-MAINZ-MARKSMAN-African-giant-Bance-is-scouted-by-Sam-Allardyce.html The brother-in-law of Aruna Dindane
AndyNeil Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 **BREAKING NEWS** Hughesy has just text me to say that Big Sam has just come off the phone to him, telling him Guti got lost and took the wrong turn on the M65 and ended up signing at t'turd. Yes I am bored ......
